The food was superb different main dishes every night and the hygiene was great. Staff attentive and happy, always had a joke and a laugh. (Hilarious Joni & Sweet Rosie) Breakfast grill chef was hilarious with him small omlettes...howmany eggs does he cook in a week and he is still grinning and laughing with you!!!
Entertainer Jill was always laughing and kept us in hysterics nightly...how does she do it every day??? She never had an off day! She even got my Dad up dancing at the kids disco to please my daughter who wanted her Grandad to dance cartoon heroes with her - no mean feat!!
Hotle entertainment - shows were fantastic. These Beatles, the spanish dancers Zarabunda and Rud Stewart (yes a Rod tribute!) were all excellent. My Daughter loved the reptile production and stroked the snake (YUK!)
Thomson reps were superb working day and night and never a complaint - always smiling. My daughter loved Emma (who she thinks might have lied about the fairy living in the hotel!!) and also Rachel who always looked hot but was ready to leap on stage and dance the night away or chat with you about anything - all the reps were great!
The waiters were hilarious, Antonio Jesus and his duck and cow, Nacho, Manuel...we loved em all...the pool bar staff were funny.
Son Baulo where did you get these people??? They are priceless, I have NEVER met a bunch of such happy workers.
I wanted to share this with you but my only worry is that it becomes too popular I won't be able to get booked up next time.

Being located on the beach front it gives easy access to the sea and the conservation area next door.
Staff were their usual efficient standard with Gill holding it all together for the entertainment, which was still pretty dire; disobedient parrott's and a poor reptile show, no improvement from 2007! Rudd Stewart again on the bill, Arnold Gutbucket was new and very good but should change his name and lose the dated Beatles music. "These Beatles" also on the bill but I was there the first time round and did not want to relive it!
We would still book this hotel again as the positives outway the the negatives.

needless to say we did not unpack.was told by reception that our rep would be at the hotel for 5.30pm.Ask our tour rep if we could be upgraded to a better room, We were quite happy to pay the extra cost. Unfortunately for us there was none available, how ever she would put us on a waiting list, and get our room cleaned again. She told us to meet her in the morning at 8.30am we did and was told that we would not be getting up graded as the hotel was full and that actually she had been up to our room and in fact it was one of the better rooms in the hotel, so what was the point of putting us on a waiting list. When we asked her if there was any other accommodation available in can picafort that we could stay at, the rep told us that the other Thomson hotels were no better than this one and if we went on the Internet and found a hotel that we would like to move to then she would ring them to see if there was any room vacancies.I thought that was her job as we were the customers, obviously needless to say this was beginning to get us down so we agreed to just get on with things. How ever on talking to other people that arrived after us we were some what disappointed to find out that they to had the same complaints as us, but did manage to get up graded for free.

half board with a good poolside bar that serves a nice chicken baguette with salad also available from the bar area
cleanliness was really good housekeeping staff friendly
bar staff well what can i say antonio, manuel and ziggy to name a few all under the watchful eye of pacco
the location is right on the beachfront well worth having a sea view room nature reserve also off the beach
15 to 20 minute walk to c'an picafort along the prommenade or you can get the tourist train for 3 euros
Gill who is in charge of the entertainment does a really good job and gets stuck in with the kids club reps Bex Max and Sam to do the mini disco which we enjoyed even though our youngest was 17!!!! even bought 2 cds to bring home with all the dance tracks on sad i know i can still hear "sexy"and "superman" now and as for the bingo don't forget to "shake what your mamma gave you" when you get down to 1 number
Steph and Nathan the tomson reps were very helpful
the food was good the only negative thing i can say is there were no tea, coffee or juice available free with your evening meal apart from that and the fact that i put on 8lbs in 2 weeks
the pool area is clean loads of sunbeds available

We have stayed in a variety of rooms, doubles, triples and the last 2 times in the junior suites and they are all superb. They are clean, air conditioned, (Superior and suites have a tv and mini bar) and all have great balconies, especially the suites - they are massive.
The food is excellent. There is always lots of choice for both breakfast and dinner. The restaurant has always been spotless and the staff are all friendly.
The grounds are beautiful and the beach is fab - perfect for the kids.
I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.

Food is varied, plentiful and hot. There will always be something that you like and you will put on weight if you eat many courses! Trays of food are filled regularly; in fact almost constantly!
The staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. Rooms are cleaned every day with towel changes each day if you require. The hotel itself is very clean we saw an army of cleaners every day from the room corridor down to the reception and main dining and pool areas. Entertainment consists of mini-disco for children - which ours being 8 and 5 - adored! A half hour bingo session which is fun if you get a good crowd willing to 'shake what their mama gave them' (this is what you have to say if you are waiting for one number!) - Gill the entertainment co-ordinator is very good at audience participation. Finally there is an evening show from 9.30pm-11pm - a different act each night - from Robbie Williams, Four Tops and Kool and the Gang tribute nights to magicians and children's acts such as parrot and reptile show (not adult's cup of tea but the children wanted to see them and hey it is their holiday as well!)
We were there mid 2 weeks in August and Sunbeds were always available from 8.30am - no-one allowed to reserve beforehand and if pool area is busy and towels are on beds but with no-one there then they are removed but we never found a problem during our 2 weeks - only witnessed towel removal once at the start of the holiday! The Hotel Management work well for their guests!
The hotel is well located on the beach front so you get best of both worlds. You are also near to a few shops and bars; cycle hire (and there is a beautiful beach front cycle path from Son Baulo to C. Picafort which runs parrallel with a pedestrian walkway -using these you pass lovely bars and restaurants and harbour along the way to Picafort town/beach front.
Overall we give this holiday a 10/10 - we had no tummy upsets; no mosquito bites; excellent family room overlooking the sea; happy children who loved the pool area; great friendly staff; good atmosphere with other holidaymakers and great weather - Have already booked to go back in August 2009.
