Our only disappointment initially, was finding out that a lot of songs in the nightly children's disco, was exactly the same as it was on our first visit 4 years prior to this. Even our two children aged 6 and 11 were disappointed and bored to hear that, and yes, it is played in the same order night after night!!
There are now nightly Bingo games, which isn't to mine (or my wife's) liking. Why people would want to go all the way to Majorca to play Bingo baffles me. If I wanted that, I would go to Butlins etc, sorry. Once that's out of the way, the professional acts come on. A different one for everynight of our two week stay. The ones that stand out are, Liam Live (Robbie Williams Tribute + more songs), The Majestics (4 Tops Tribute Band), Kool & The Gang (Tribute Band), and the very funny Arnold Gutbucket. I'm afraid that the Parrot Show is also (disappointingly) exactly the same as it was four years ago!! For entertainment outside of the hotel, I would highly recommend "Pirates". It is very expensive, but I'm glad we saw it!!
Our main gripe with this Hotel this time, is that we were moved from our fantastic room on our last day, to a far more inferior one, and this really got my back up, and the Thompson Rep was useless. The brochure does state that you can get moved, but I do not expect this when I have paid

The hotel is very clean the maids clean your room daily
and change towels if required.
The food isn't that great the kids menu was the same everyday.
The evening entertainment consisted of a kids mini disco at 8.30pm then bingo at 9.00pm after that was a show which was'nt that good.
The Thomson kids club was excellent my children really enjoyed themselves and fell in love with the reps.
Even though the stage area is no smoking it still got smokey because the terrace doors were always open so the smoke blew in.
The bar staff were excellent always happy and polite the drinks are very expensive.

The hotel is great, really clean. There were always maids around cleaning something! The food was much better than we had expected. Having only ever been on self catering holidays before, we were unsure what we would be getting. I dont think we had the same meal twice during our stay. Big choice for breakfast, catering for all tastes. Cereals, bread, toast, yoghurt, cooked breakfast and cold meats and cheese.
The location is in a reasonably quiet area of C'an Picafort. There were a few shops and bars nearby, but for anything more, you would need to walk into the main part of town, approx 1/2 hour walk away. We had pretty poor weather when we were there, so we did struggle a bit to find rainy day things to do in the area. Everything around is geared to the sun! Having said that, buses are cheap and regular, and the bus stop is almost right outside the hotel, which makes trips to other resorts easy.
The entertainment was organised by Gill each evening with help from the Thomson Twiglets and Fairies for the nightly mini disco. The kids thought it was great. There were also quizzes, bingo and a few professional shows later on, including the infamous Parrot Show!! Kidzone reps, Jazzy James, Happy Helen and Loopy Lou were well loved by our children and they were very sad to leave, always the sign of a good holiday!!
We would visit this hotel again, but later on in the year, hopefully getting some better weather.

My opinions are as follows:-
Room - Great room, it had one double and two single beds and had plenty of room. It was cleaned every day and the only down side was the centrally controlled air condidtioning, which was changed to heating for the last few days of the holiday which was a pain when the weather warmed up and also the fact there was no light on the balcony.
Entertainment - this was poor, although the host did her best with what she had. Some nights everything had finished by 9.30pm. This was probably due to the time of year, but it was advertised in the brochures that entertainment was provided, therefore it should be provided for the whole time the hotel is open.
Food - was ok, good 3 star quality.
General cleanliness - was excellent, there were always housekeeping staff cleaning communal areas.
Pool - quite small for the size of the hotel and was freezing.

A sea view room was well worth the extra as regards the view. Everywhere was spotlessly clean including the restaurant. There was a notice up behind the bar in Spanish reminding the barmen to wash their hands, and I got the impression that they took hygiene seriously at the hotel. We enjoyed our food and ate really well each day without any tummy problems at all.
On most evenings we gave the entertainment a miss except for the Irish dancing and the Flamenco, both of which were good.
However, although on the whole we were happy to share the holiday with families with children, we were disturbed at night by older children or young teenagers playing and running along the corridor, and I assume that there is very little the hotel can do about this. For this reason I think we would probably consider a couples only hotel next time - however this hotel is definitely worth staying at so I would not like to put anyone off. Also we would not go on holiday again at the end of the season.

Extremely clean, rooms, public areas and swimming pools, with many notices that shows you that they took hygiene very seriously at the hotel.
Wonderful food, we praised the chefs for the excellent food and choice, in particular the mouth-watering desserts.
The hotel as a whole was very good as was the entertainment, as we were suppose to have only 2-3 evening acts per week, and we had something every evening (even in low season). Mini disco every night for the little ones (The have children clubs also, but only for Thomson guests).
Our room was beautiful with a sea view. The hotel has different types of rooms, if this is important to you, make sure you book the right one, as there are some rooms (cheaper and basic), that overlook the street and it can be noisy at moments.
Staff absolutely fantastic , all of them.

With the hotel directly on the beach access was not a problem if all the many hotel owned loungers were in use.
Pool was, as some have stated, quite cold but didn't stop most from entering the waters. Also noise at the front can be intrusive at night, book a seaview.
Staff were excellent from the receptionists to the waiters - Ivan, manuel, Juan, Nacho, Paco to name a few. The Thomson reps were also good, Lee and Gill for the entertainment - kids mini disco etc - and Gary for the occasional chats during the week.
Entertainment in the evenings was middle of the road, parrot and reptile shows were very amateur, "Rod Stewart" ,as he was introduced, was ok if you like this type of music also Lee Harris - good voice not my choice of music, but he went down well with the rest of the audience. Thank goodness I missed "The Lord of the Dance"! African Footprint was an unexpected gymnastic and juggling presentation.
Despite the entertainment we would definitely book this hotel again
