Try to avoid repeatedly paying by card, pay just one bank charge by paying with cash. There is a cash machine outside The White Rose bar just two minutes walk from the hotel.

Rooms overlooking the pool are noisy til ~ 11pm .I suspect that mountain view rooms would be quieter. The lifts don't serve every floor.

Puerto Pollensa is a lovely resort with picturesque mountains for a back drop, the beachfront is pedestrianised and also the square which makes it a great place to visit with children. You can enjoy a stroll, eat at numerous restaurant, and have a thorouoghly relaxing holiday. May was good not to busy however i can imagine it is a lot different in July/August time. The only down side to our holiday was the weather it was very showery and cloudy and even had thunder storms etc. so not sure about going again in May.

The resort is perfect, will definately be returning again. We visited in May for two weeks and hired a car for the second week. Visited Palma, Pollensa, Valldemossa, Deia(may have spelt that wrong), Camp de Mar, which was lovely, Calle/St Vincent?! lovely beach, Alsudia and Formentor. All come highly recommended except Alucdia (tacky).
Pine walk is lovely and the church square, the waiter that throws the sweets kept our children entertained whilst we enjoyed a quiet drink! Resort very expensive, forgot to mention we visited Puerto Portals resort also near Palma, the food and drinks there were half the price than Puerto Pollensa. Had lunch at Stay - recommend this place for a drink or lunch, lovely location on the water edge, also Little Italy was great as our boy played in the sand (3 metres away) whilst our girl slept in the pram and we had a relaxing lunch! Fantastic resort.

The resort was very picturesque and very clean. Everyone was very friendly.
There were enough restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes and just enough shops to browse around without getting bored!
The beach was very clean. A lovely area for children.
We really enjoyed this part of Majorca and can't wait to return.

Very pretty, clean resort. Lots of bars and restaurants to chose from. Plenty of shops, leather goods cheap. Perfumery cheaper than duty free on aeroplane. Not a great deal in the way of entertainment as in shows, clubs etc which we were pleased about as it wasn't what we wanted. Hotel had plenty of that arranged if we wanted it. Loved the resort would definately go back. I would recommend hiring a car or doing an excersion of the island. Amazing terrain and scenery.

We visited Puerto Pollensa for 2 weeks, returning 2nd October 2007.
The resort was very nice, with quite a few places to eat and drink of an evening. I think I preferred Puerto Pollensa to Alcudia as it seemed less touristy, but its still worth visiting Alcudia while you are there.
Would highly recommend the resort to anyone, and also recommend hiring a car and going up the Cap de Formentor - although if you are used to driving in the UK give it a day to get used to the car first cause you can be a bit close to a cliff edge at times.
I do have one thing to point out that my other half was quite livid about. We had read reviews praising the Codfather (British Chippy) and visited the place a couple of days into our holiday. The food at the time we went there was good for what it was and we enjoyed it (basic chippy food). Towards the end of our holiday we close to it again and my partner decided she would like to get a takeaway to bring back to the apartment. Firstly she was spending about €12 on food but the woman said she wouldnt accept a €50 note even though she had plenty of change. Fair enough so I just about managed to cobble together enough in change (didnt think we would have enough change) and paid with that. I think the woman then had it in for her because when we got back to the apartment the food was atrocious, as if she had gone out of her way to make it bad. The chips were like leather, the fish looked like it had leprocy and the curry - well you can imagine what that was like! I have flushed more nutricious food down the toilet, and was glad I hadn't intended on eating any of it in the first place otherwise there would have been hell to pay. I would not recommend getting a take-away from here one bit!
