Lovely resort....loads of places to eat, all cater for children, many bars and at the top end is known as the irish quarter with the clubs and discos for the young ones.
beach was lovely, very big, so no overcrowding, water crystal clear with loads of sardines swimming around.
You can hire pedallos and the usual bannana boat ride is there.
Very family oreintated, not the place for stag/hen parties.
lovely place, well recommended.

Santa ponsa beach and bay are magnificent but the resort seems to have become an overflow for when Magaluf is full of its idiots and they need to be put somewhere else. Never in all my holidays have i seen so much dogshit deposited by locals dogs.

clean, tidy and loads of places to eat and drink. The beach is lush and very clean, the water is crystal clear and ideal for swimming. Theres lots of little shops mainly selling the same tacky souvineers but also some nice little boutiques. flat and easy to walk around, just watch out for drivers who dont stop when you are on the crossing!!! loony drivers! theres some lovely restaurants we ate almost every night in the same one, crocodillos IT IS THE BEST they are so friendly and the food is devine but they get busy and its worth reserving a table, very good value too.

Fabulous resort, plenty of pubs and restaurants, and fairly busy considering was start of season. Take a visit along past the irish pubs to the slurping toad, this is new owners, very friendly and great music.
Also Seans Place & Durty Nellies always a good irish party atmosphere here.
Cant wait to come back !!!

We love Santa Ponsa. It has a good mix of quite parts and a lively strip of bars and clubs.
The beach is lovely and there is a big population of parakeets living in the trees surrounding the beach.
We have felt quite safe wandering around at night.
Would recommend Mrs Murphys kitchen for meals out and the Dubliner pub for a drink and live music.

Our first night there, we were really tired from the long delay, but to hell with it - we were on holiday, so off we went to explore the resort! When we arrived the schools hadn't broken up yet, so it was a bit quiet but far from empty! We didn't get to the 'Strip' until about 1am on our first night, but there was still lots going on. We walked around, got a pizza, and went to a few bars. In the end, we didn't get back to the room until 03:30!!
First thing that came to my mind was - am I in Majorca or Ireland?! Not to say that's a bad thing, but if you are English (or any other nationality other than Irish) you may feel a bit left out. It is a lovely resort, with lots of bars and restaurants, but after about day 5 the Irish music was getting a bit too repetitive, with the same songs every night. I've been to places like Playa del Ingles in Gran Canaria and Benidorm before, and so I like all the fun bars with quizzes, tribute acts and comedy shows but I hardly saw any of these things in Santa Ponsa. Maybe it was still too early in the season? We saw a bar advertising Live Music one night, so we went along to that. However, it was two Irish men singing (you guessed it) Irish folk music lol It was still good though, and we made the most of it. It just would have been nice for a little variety.
Best places to eat, in our opinion, were Tony's - just down the road from the Plazamar. They do a great breakfast which doesn't break the bank. The Watering Hole, which has it's own swimming pool out the back, very unique! Fat Sam's for an American treat. And the Chinese restaurant, again on route from the Plazamar, towards the beach.
The beach is lovely. Lots of sunbeds and umbrellas. We didn't really go on the beach because I hate getting sand everywhere, hehe!! But for the beach lovers out there, you'll love it!
Anyone thinking of going to Santa Ponsa, or indeed the Plazamar Apartments you wont be disappointed! Could not fault the Plazamar, and the resort was a joy - just be prepared for lots of Irish music!! A holiday is what YOU make of it, so make it a GOOD one! :-)
