The resort is family oriented - there are no nightclubs or discos as such. Entertainment is hotel based. Bars, restaurants and cafes are plentiful - reasonable prices and extensive menus. The resort itself was clean, well-kept and pretty. Plenty of shops and supermarkets. We highly recommend a tour "Uncover Menorca" - which went around the island,in it we visited a cheese farm (red wine and cheese provided, a leather fashion show (champagne provided), a stud farm, mount torro, Fornells etc etc and all for less than 40 euros!!! Tours are excellent - boat trip a must! Nothing like diving into med and having lunch provided. Prices from 38 euros for adult. When I came back on Saturday, I went to travel agent and booked for next year for all of us. I would be fussy where I took my children but I would have no worries at the Marina apps, cala n bosch!!

There are two beaches the first is ok but the second is better, but a 15 min walk from the apartments but worth the walk. Lots of places to eat in the harbour. Local shop to buy bread etc. There is a shop across the road from the apartments aswell. There is a road train you can catch from the harbour (a must for the children) and live music in the evening in the harbour.

Cala'n Bosch is a small resort, one that you can check out in a day easily. It's not very lively in the evenings other than people eating out near the marina, some bars have singers, but on the whole it's quiet. The beach is small, but was very quiet in may. There was lots of weed washed up on the sand which wasn't cleared away. It's worth taking a five minute walk across the cliff to Son Xoriguer beach which is bigger and cleaner. We ate at the restaurant on the beach there, it was excellent, especially if you enjoy sea food. Our children enjoyed their food and ice creams there too.

The bars and restaurant are situated around a lovely little harbour area. Its very clean and there is music on a little bandstand every evening.
The beach is small but was never packed. There were a few snack bars surrounding the beach too. The sunbeds and parasols were 11 euros per day which is a bit expensive and could add up if you were a family. Most people chose to sit on the sand.
I would definately come back to this resort again

Although not for a few years this was actually our fourth visit to Cala'n Bosch and fifth to Menorca, so needless to say we do like the area. The Marina is a particularly nice area to walk around have a drink and dine each evening. Entertainment within the resort is fairly basic but perhaps this is one of the nicer things about Menorca generally; it has always been regarded as the quieter of the islands and has it's own fans for that very reason.
The Cala'n Bosch beach is good but our favourite beach is actually Cala Galdana which is a fair size within a sheltered cove with good snorkelling and to which we drive to most days (25 minutes ..ish), we stay in Cala'n Bosch as it has more to offer at night. One thing I would say about the beach at Cala Galdana which probably apllies to all beaches (as I believe the local Balears Government set the prices) is that sunbeds have reached extortionate prices. A pair of beds with brolly will now cost you 20 euros per day.... £100 for a couple for 1 week??!! This is double what we pay around other Med areas and I suspect it is another attempt by the Balearic Govt. to tax the tourist (not the locals) having tried and failed with the accommodation tax and an attempted hire car tax. This attempt will also fail because the beds are now only 15% occupied whereas if they were similarily priced to the rest of the Med then they would be 80 -100% occupied.

The resort was lovely, beach was spotless, with activities such as volley ball or going on the family pedaloes. The marina was a lovely place to eat, especially The Britania Bar (English Bar) food was very nice, reasonable priced (especially if you are in a group) and well worth it. Best to shop at the Marina Apt Supermarket as this was the cheapest of all.
Well worth going to Cuitadella if you want cigs as you can only buy them in tobacco shops
would definetly go back to Calan Bosch, caus its just great!!!!!

Cala N Bosch is great – the marina is the centre of attention, surrounded by a good selection of bars and restaurants but very few British Pubs, Fish and Chip shops etc (so it's way upmarket compared to, say, Cala N Blanes).
There's free nightly live music by the marina in the summer season - a favourite for young kids to show off their funky moves! Cala n Bosch is ideal for half-day boat trips from the marina and is only 20 minutes by bus (which runs very regularly) from Cuitadella.
We'd definitely come back to the Valentin Star if we ever go to Menorca again.

The resort is smaller than we expected but there is plenty of things to do & the island is small enough to hire a car & visit other places. We found the resort really clean.
The entertainment is quite low key although there are quizes everynight at the english bar Chaplins & we found a new bar that had just opened called the Koala Bar an Australian themed bar that we loved.
The beach is quite small but we found it clean . The sunbeds are expensive at 6 euros each. We found a quieter & slightly larger beach slightly further along to the left of the resort called son xoriguer and also if you carry one walking past this beach on the coast you come to a small white house that has steps to a cave that our kids loved.
We would definately visit this resort again, we had a fantastic holiday!
