This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Dont go, There is not one guest I stayed with who enjoyed themself. My poor 3 year old was begging to go home

Do not except a bungalow near the road that surrounds this complex i as was told by other holidaymakers who stayed here they were the ones that got robbed on a regular basis . the words quick getaway come to mind

don't choose the bungalows - poor outlook an isolated.
Local bar the Crazy Goat good fun and excellent food at Mustang Sally.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Slightly more than a 20 minute walk from town. Car definitely needed, but well worth it.

This would be good in height of summer when really hot then open roof woudnt matter and definitely need transport of your own

The resort itself had something for everyone,fado rock is a must but make sure you are hungry because the portion sizes are big. The italian restaurant opposite fado (sorry forgot the name)has the most mouth watering pasta, we ate here twice.Also the steak house did a great english breakfast. Watch out for the time share people with the scratch cards, we came accross them and it was hard to get away.

The resort is quiet and would not suit the younger generation looking for discos and nightclubs. There are plenty of places to eat and drink down in the centre which is a 10 minute walk from the Fuertosol apartments.The beach is wonderfully clean and the Harbour is just a further 10 minutes walk from the resort centre. There is also a complex of shops, cafes and bars just a 5 minute walk to the north of the apartments. Taxis are easy to come by and if you want to venture further the buses run frequently and are very cheap. A bus to Carrelljo was just 4euros return.

The beach which is man made was very poor this year.
There are a few bars that have entertainment but we stayed around the Broncemar.
We didn't eat breakfast but they start at 3.50 euro in the central shopping area.
I would recommend Fado Rock (not the Portugese version) for any meat meal expect to pay 9/13.5 for a main course that will satisfy even the largest beer belly.
The 'New Slow Boat' chinese which is upstairs next to the Chinese Buffet is good. It was last year as well. The guy outside gives you a card that is 10% off bill and drinks are 2 for 1 which makes it very good value. We had 4 starters, main meals, beer, wine and diet coke for 41 euros.
The cheapest cigs in town are also in the same block under the chinese (there are 2 shops selling check which is cheapest)

Resort was splendid also. Execellent Restaurants, Beaches and enough Bars to keep us entertained.

Not the biggest resort that we have been to. Can walk round it all in an afternoon (inc. stopping for refreshments!!!)
RESTAURANTS: Never seen such a variety anywhere you name a restaurant and it is there. Not the cheapest
RECOMMEND: FADO STEAK HOUSE
BARS: Good variety and some have entertainment at night
RECOMMEND: THE FLOWER OF SCOTLAND (excellant entertainment)

The resort was very clean we didn’t venture into the resort much at night as we didn’t need to as the hotel provided us with everything we needed.
The main beach was gritty however we discovered another beach a little further away behind the shopping center this beach was great for kids it was sandy safe and very clean.

We are frequent visitors to Caleta-de-fuste and we absolutely loved it the first time we set foot on the Island. It is so clean. The beach is pure white sand, and although man made it looks perfectly natural. Plenty of parasols and sun lounges. Safe swimming. The beach is very clean and it is never crowded. The resort is not lively, so for those wanting a lively holiday, caleta-de-fuste is not for them. If you want beautiful scenery,peace and quite, then this is the resort for you. It is not too quite as to be boring. There are plenty of restuarants to eat out in. Tommy Knutters is excellent for a Sunday Dinner. You get a very large plate full. There are ample supermarkets, the cheapest is in the Atlantico centre a 10 minute walk away from the centre of Calete. You need to take a taxi as it is quite a trek with heavy shopping. There are plenty of taxis which are situated in the commercial centre. The main shopping mall. There are plenty of bar that feature live music. Although there is nothing too rowdy. You are welcome to stroll into any of the hotels and watch the shows that they put on. The big hotels themselves have entertainment which for some doesn't end until 4am.
We love everything about caleta de fust and we return year after year. So yes we will be visiting this resort again.

This resort was very clean, but not a great deal of entertainment available. The main beach is man made, concrete with a covering of imported sand. The south part of the resort has been developed away from the old part and has a lovely golden beach thats available to the public. Ths resort is very quiet and with limited entertainment is probably best suited to a one week break.

Beach in front of Elba Sara, Sheraton, etc. is very nice and better than main Caleta beach. Main shopping centre is ok, but don't expect too many shops!
Main centre of Caleta is just your very average tourist resort centre. Loads of tacky tourist shops, bars and restaurants.
It is a decent resort though on a lovely island. It doesn't have lots of nightlife and not full of lager louts, ideal for families - this is the reason we stayed here and will come back again.
Chipmunks on the rocks at the sea front were great entertainment.
