This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Away from the swimming pool area, very noisy all afternoon, those who wanted their afternoon siesta were not happy.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Slightly more than a 20 minute walk from town. Car definitely needed, but well worth it.

Caleta de fuste is a cosmipolitan area that has many bars and restaurants which will suit many tastes. There are no real top class bars or restaurants most will suit the 3 or 4 star visitor looking for good food and drin at reasonable prices.
The blues bar we found sold excellent freshly cooked food at reasonable prices and drinks were on a par with other bars. there are a number in competition so pricing is competetive and thats good for us.
Car hire from Hertz was rweasonable and cost me £63 for three days inclusive over the weekend.

Thsee apartments are about a mile and a half from the beach and resort centre. It is a pleasant walk anyway. The beach is magnificent and there are plenty of watersports to get involved in. The golf course is only about a mile or so up the main road. The resort is quiet, but offers a varied set of cafes, restaurants and disco bars. So, plenty to do without all the hustle and bustle !! The resort is on a main bus route should you want to explore the Island on the cheap (plenty of care hire companies as well).

The other reviewers have made a great deal about the Promenade to the beach and the cute little Chipmunks. We did the walk on day two of our stay and it is a lovely walk, long, but lovely. Did not see a single chipmunk. Ho hum. However we did find the short cut to the beach on day 3. Seven (7) minutes instead of seventeen (17) and we got to see the Cats! The beach is fan-bloody-tastic. Golden clean sands, clear blue water (with fish woo hoo). Plenty of sun loungers. A crazy golf. Bars...Brilliant.
For the women folk (sorry guys and kids) there are plenty of shops...some classy some tatty. We went in them all. Again their are plenty of bars and restaurants keen for your custom. I can wholly recommend The Scots Corner cafe/restaurant. Great food great staff. Little play park was a good rest stop for us while the kids used up more energy. The Saturday market was rubbish. About 40 stalls selling the same watches, sunglasses and belts for differing over blown prices (Asda price my eye!!) We went round once and headed back to the complex. Hpoe this waffle helps you make your holiday choice. Hotel Beatrize Matagorda Lanzarote next year.

The resort is nice and relaxed, with mainly couple and familes there. We didn't see any single sex roudy parties. The resort is quite small and you can walk between all 4 corners of it in an afternoon. The beach is nice and clean, the locals seemed generally friendly. The Saturday market is the place to go if you enjoy haggling for a bargain.
Plenty of nice bars and restaurants. We ate at many different ones and didn't have a bad meal in any.
The "trafalgar" bar is the first bar some guests will see, I will warn that they conned us by adding extortionate amounts for little extras to our meal, without telling us before the bill came. Some of these extras were offered, as if they were free. This place was also slightly more expensive than others. We paid up and just walked past it for the rest of the week and were glad we did, as there's plenty of other places, and the food was better.
We had a couple of meals in a bar (excuse the name) called "Tommy Nutter's", the first was first class, a free bottle wine was the icing on the cake. Then after you've finished you meal, the bar next door was live entertainment from 9:00. All this was at a place called Castillo Centro, near the Saturday Market area.

the resort is ideal for us as its pretty central to the island and we hire a car and can travel either way without any trouble, no traffic jams BLISS. the beach is clean and the sea is gorgeous, plenty of places to eat out the steak house is the best on the island we think. familys are made welcome and its not to big and comercial so you still get a good spanish feel. there are plenty of gift shops and a lovely harbour with ther own sea lions, all in all perfect for everyone.

the resort is kept very clean, it has grown somewhat in size since our first visit nearly 3 years ago!! however, if you are looking for dazzling nightlife, you might be dissapointed, as caleta is a very relaxed, laid back place, ideal for chilling out, and great for families.there are some really good places to eat out, and lots of bars too. the main beach is good, however the new beach by the sheraton hotel is lovely and less crowded. try the coastal walk up towards antigua, there are great views, cooling breezes and the chipmunks will come and eat from your hand... there is nothing at antigua tho.. it is still a building site .

The resort itself was very clean and tidy, the entertainment was not very good and a lot of the shops near Netto and the Pitstop area were not open but this may have been due to the time of year.
The beach was lovely, very clean.

Caleta de Fuste is certainly a quiet resort, although there is a LOT of building work going on, so if you want to enjoy it while it's still relatively unspoilt, then go now. There were a few parades of shops/bars if you want that sort of thing, but these did not seem excessively noisy when we were there. Perhaps in July/August it's different, but in October it was nice and peaceful. It's not the place to go if you're looking for lots of things to do, although you can go on various trips to other places quite easily. We went to the Oasis Park animal centre where we went on a camel safari and even came home with a DVD of our exploits. The weather was great -high twenties/early thirties and beautiful blue skies- just what I wanted before the joys of the British winter. All in all, this was a great family holiday for all ages. Club 18-30 it is not, but if you're looking for a great family-friendly holiday, then I'd definitely recommend it.
