This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Dont go, There is not one guest I stayed with who enjoyed themself. My poor 3 year old was begging to go home

Do not except a bungalow near the road that surrounds this complex i as was told by other holidaymakers who stayed here they were the ones that got robbed on a regular basis . the words quick getaway come to mind

don't choose the bungalows - poor outlook an isolated.
Local bar the Crazy Goat good fun and excellent food at Mustang Sally.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

This would be good in height of summer when really hot then open roof woudnt matter and definitely need transport of your own

The town of Caleta de Fuste/castilo were spotless. The beach was easily accessible and clean. The tide line was a bit rocky for paddling so shoes needed.
The town was very family friendly. The buildings, parks and roads were very well maintained. There are a good number of shops, cafes, restaurants. The local people were very nice, humerous and friendly.
We hired a car and travelled around the island and concluded that we had chosen the right Fuertaventuran resort for our holiday.

when we went out of our hotel to walk around we were dissapointed, eg, not much to do. tho its nice to sit on the front and listen to the sea crashing on the rocks, or to have a walk on the front to one of the bars, tho there is not enough bars on the front.

The resort of Costa Calleta is about 10 mins south of the airport on Fuerteventura. So staying here does mean that air traffic does pass close over head. It is occasional and not constant but if your bothered by that sort of thing you should know.
There are lots of good resturants to eat at as well. We ate out every night and had a good meal every time. A number of bars provide music and karaoke etc. No nightclubs though so if you want them you won't get them here.
The Beach was good, the water was clear and there are staff walking around collecting rubbish. The loungers have to be payed for but thats standard now really.
This is a nice place to come as a couple, but large groups and families may find it hard to find stuff to do to keep everyone entertained.

Not for the 18-30's, great for family's and couples wanting to get away from it all. You must go to Fado's if your starving i've never seen so much food on a plate, and country kitchen for the best home cooked food. Pieros music cafe is the only place with different entertainment everynight for the whole family but get there early as it fills up quick. Forget what other reviews say about chipmunk mountain it is no more, they are all now down at the beach on the rocks, for 50 cents you can get a tub of nuts from the penalty spot bar and if your patient the chipmunks will take them from your hand. A nice walk on the beach (about half hr) you come to the Atlantico centre where you can get a Macdonalds or Burger king, ten pin bowling, great shoe shop, sportswear shop and the biggest spar i'v ever seen suntan lotion is a third of the price you would pay back home. Make sure you buy your duty free's in the resort as well there a lot less than the airport. A lovely clean resort we have already booked to go back!

I previously read the reviews about this resort, and must say what a load of rubbish. This is the best holiday that me and family have ever had.

The cleanliness of the resort was very good. The resort entertainment was also exceptional. The beach was fantastic and clean with the usual watersports. We would definately visit this place again next year.

the resort itself is very quiet, and in the process of being very upand coming. There is two bars and we found if we travelled into caletta there was a big enough selection of pibs and restaurants there, for a 3 euro taxi fare back to the hotel. the bar in the hotel itself is qiet but has entertainment on a few times a week. the bar staff ae very friendly and chatty.

Good resort - plenty of restaurants, bars and a good supermarket. Pieros in particular very good for entertainment.
Tried unsuccessfully on 2 occasions to see the elusive chipmunks - maybe next time.
Beach at the Barcelo is a bit of a let down - but wander along the prom to the Sheraton - it will be well worth it.
Took trip to Water Park - not huge but a fair size and a good day out.
Def visit this resort again.

I think people have to bear in mind when reading bad review. You have to bear in mind that everyones standards are so different. I was not looking forward to our holiday because of the bad things I had read but we all really enjoyed ourselves and were very very impressed with every aspect of our holiday especially maid service and staff and were a little sad to leave really. Would definatley go back one day!!!

We found the resort to be big enough to be interesting,
small enough to be unspoilt.Not to many shops,but good quality(no tat or rubbish)shops,nice choice of restaurants and bars.
