This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Away from the swimming pool area, very noisy all afternoon, those who wanted their afternoon siesta were not happy.

The local shops are a short walk and to be hones t we went there a couple of times. The harbour was lovely there is an area where you van buy some fish food for a euro and feed the fish which our son lived, ideal for those cloudy mornings, it was also nice walking around the beach and seeing all the wonderful things made out of sand, dolphins, a castle. Amazing really.

Our holiday wasn't the best this year but we don’t normally go this early and so the pools were quite cold, the weather wasn't great and the misses got sick. None of these things are any fault of the hotel and we would return, although not in may, and we would probably take our own brolly!!

Quite a small resort so can imagine it being very congested in height of summer. Beach at costa caleta very big but a bit rocky so beware of little feet paddling into water. Our hotel ran free coach service to atlantico shopping centre and if you walk through the shopping area there is another beach. Not so busy and alot more picturesque. sun beds on both beaches 9 euros for two. Will be glad to answer any questions on hotel or resort.

I stayed in Caleta de Fuste.

I loved this resort as it was was so clean and everything was within walking distance.

No noisy nightlife which suited me on this holiday but plenty of pubs or restaurants to visit.

The weather was brilliant but sometimes breezy but the island is know for this, and it doesnt stop you getting that tan.

Cant say too much about the resort as we had upgraded to All Inclusive and with children we tended to stay in the complex at night. Beautiful walks round the bay to the shopping center though are well worth it.

Having gone on a couple of excursions on the island I realised we had not stayed in the best resort. The resort was ok - bars and some shops but not particularly pleasant for an evening stroll, all a bit 'concrety'. Hotel compensated for what the resort lacked. By the way excursions from rep are expensive ( zoo and island tour)for what they are but its something to pass the time.

The hotel is situated about 10-15 minute walk from Calete de Fuste, down the promenade. However, there is a shopping centre and Eurospar right next door, a free bus and a taxi rank costing 2,50 Euros. The resort has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants catering for all tastes and ages. The beach was lovely, cool breeze and well kept. You could also hire as many sun beds and umbrellas as required. There's a lovely cafe on a jetty very nearby with spectacular views.

The whole resort waa fantastic, just a short walk to all the local amenities including restaurants and shops. Every Saturday they have a market and shut the whole street, this is definately worth a trip to cause if you like to bata with people then you will love this. One bit of advice I will give is try to get your food shopping if you are self catering at Spar in the shopping centre as they are half the price of Netto. There are alot of steps and slopes and sometimes rocky paths so it may not be ideal for the elerly or people who find it hard to walk.

Other than this it is a great place

Caleta is a very pleasant purpose-built tourist resort. We didn't really spend much time in the resort because our hotel was all-inclusive, so I can't say much about the bars and restaurants, but the shops were good and there is a small market on Saturdays.

The harbour is nice and there is a floating shop where you can buy food to feed the fish. The beach is man-made and is very safe for kids, shallow water with no big waves.
The Atlantico Centre is nice but the way everyone talks about it, I was expecting something like the Trafford Centre, but it's very small really, with just a few shops. There is a nice beach outside the Atlantico Centre.

Overall, I'd like to go back to Caleta sometime and go self-catering so I could try some of the nice-looking restaurants we saw there.

I'd say the resort is just right for families and couples, but it's not for the 18-30s!

this resort was very clean and a service is always avaliable when needed. the entertainment was brilliant through the day but lacked at the night and would not be recomended to night life lovers. the beach was lovely however must watch out in the sea as the rocks are very slippy. i would with out a doubt visit this resort again and i am already searching for prices.
