This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Away from the swimming pool area, very noisy all afternoon, those who wanted their afternoon siesta were not happy.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Slightly more than a 20 minute walk from town. Car definitely needed, but well worth it.

The hotel is next to a small pleasant shopping area and if you cross the road opposite is another small array of shops and restaurants including the Saturday market.
The shops selling cameras are selling old out dated stock that can be bought cheaper in this country. Mind you if you tell them this then suddenly they reduce the price by a further 30 Euros or so.
From the back of the hotel is a pleasant walk to a small harbour where you can feed the fish or catch the land train to nowhere in particular. Behind the hotel is two small crazy golf courses. I think they are rightly named crazy as the smoothness at the holes leaves a lot to be desired.
The Thaloss therapy also behind the hotel is 15 euro admission but well worth every penny. There are lots of soaking sections with differing temperatures, powerful jets for a full body massage. Huge Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. All of the water is salt water so does sting the eyes somewhat. You are given white towel and flip flops on arrival and a key to your locker.
Do not be fooled by the advert saying there is a cafe area. Yes there is, but everything is out of machines. It just means, you must only eat in that area (so take your own food) There is free drinking water.
The weather was very variable with quite a lot of cloud and strong winds. We did a check on 5 weather sites before we left and they were all wrong. The sun is still strong unless it is completely overcast in which case it is very chilly. Out of one week we only had one day where we never saw the sun at all.
If you want a taste of true Spanish then this isn't the resort for you. the surrounding areas have been built with tourism in mind

Went to Caleta with our 3 children George 11, Ruby 10, Jack 9. We stayed in a privately owned house in the Amuly Mar complex.
Everyone enjoyed Caleta everything we needed was withing easy walking there were too many bars/restaurants to visit in the 12 days we were there so we are going back agin next year.
Fado Rock is a must the waiters are entertaining and the food is fantastic, try their chicken volcano!, Suzies bar opposite Piero's did a wonderful "scotish" breakfast very friendly staff, Tommy Nutters tucked away in the lower level of the Castillo Centro was a good place for a drink and good food.
We also went to a chinese restaurant not sure of the name but it's near Suzies looks quite posh/expensive!? but was very reasonable.
There is a market on Saturdays make sure you haggle you will get "good price better than tesco"
The resort on the whole was very clean and well maintained and felt very safe. On safety we hired a car and went to El Cotillo we put all our cameras etc in the boot and went down to the beach for no more than an hour and found we had been robbed when we got back to the car park the police were very helpful and the statisics indicate we were very unlucky (and to top it all we found our travel insurance didn't cover unattended vehicles).
The beach at Caleta is great for kids very safe.
If you go in the fooball season check out UD Fuerteventura they play in Puerto Del Rossario as I write they are in the playoffs trying for promotion.
Caleta gets a BIG thumbs up from us all :-)see you next year

Caleta De Fuste is an OK resort, I wouldnt visit totally out of season, it was quiet when we went the week before half term, had a whole bar to ourselves!!
As with any holiday location, keep your wits about you and dont do anything stupid and you'll have a great time!

The resort is Ok.There are lots of british/kareoke type bars, which I dont like so we opted to eat at The Revolution Bar in the Atlantico Centre. The food there is fantastic value and worth every penny. It was about to change hands shortly after we were leaving so hopefully the quality will not have dropped too much for the next time we go. The Atlantico Centre is a small modern clean shopping mall, with bowling alley, cinema, shops ,banks, restaurants and bars. This is where the locals tend to go and is a lot more Spanish. If you want to spalsh out on a really nice meal, go to Betancuria, Casa Santa Maria. The food and surroundings in this restaurant are excellent. It will probably be one of the most expensive restaurants on the Island, but everything about it, from the restaurant, to the food, to the village is magnificent.

From what we saw the resort was very clean. With regard to entertainment it was the usual mix of bars English Scottish, Irish etc. Watch out for the prices at the Irish Bar. Great coffee at the Scotch Corner cafe.
Although we didn't go on the beach it looked very flat and clean.
We have no plans to visit this resort again.

We were not keen on the nearest beach, too far for us to walk to.There's a lot of sand area, but the sea's shallow for some way and it's stoney to walk through. The roads however are very nicely tarmaced. We did have some pleasant meals in the town below,

Caleta de Fuste is very much an up & coming resort - there's quite a bit of building sites and it's either very barren or quite new & built up. It's very clean and the beach was nice - it is a man made beach. The kids went in the sea and had fishes swimming round them!
We went to Oasis Park - a zoo park which was quite good, though the tours are a bit disorganised. The camel rides were good. Its quite a long day though.
My husband and eldest girl went on a catamaran trip which was really good.
Tip - it's cold at night!!! Though it was warming up by our second week. Take cardigans or fleeces!

The resort was clean and the beach was beautiful it was cleaned every day. The sea was great and my husband loved snorkeling in it. There is building work going on but its still lovely.

The resort was very quiet which we really really liked - we have young children and are not into the clubbing scene. The beach was really nice and the walk from the complex to the beach was just beautiful. We really loved this resort and are definitely looking at booking another holiday there before the end of this year.
