The resort was always clean i didnt see any rubbish or litter hanging about only a few prostitutes ha ha! The entertainment on the resort consited of 3 places the irish centre which we werent too keen on though the other bars around there were more relaxed, the kasbah which has a large selection of bars though the downstairs bars were a bit too loud for us 30 somethings and the Yumbo centre which you need to visit, as a group of us saw a drag show which was probably the best night of our holidays. We also frequented Cheers bar near the hotel where if you collect four vouchers from them one after each round of drinks you can get a free limousine ride around the centre with a free glass of champers!
We only visited the beach once so we cant really comment on this apart from it is dark sand. We also walked along the sand dunes which is something different to other resorts!

Not the classiest of places we have been to but as the lads are getting older they want a bit more to do. Las Margaritas is about 7-8 minutes walk from both the Chapperal centre and the Yumbo. Only visited Chaperal once when we had an easily forgetable meal. Tended to visit the Yumbo more often, although we were always heading back to the apt before it got too wild. Ate at two restaurants in the Yumbo. The Windsor Gardens wasn’t bad but not the best and another right in the centre that was very good but have forgotten it’s name. Had a drink at Diamonds a few times while the boys were on the huge trampolines with harnesses !!!
What we tended to do was eat on the way down to Yumbo on Ave Tirajana on the left hand side just past the roundabout. Just before you get to the alleyway that leads down to the Yumbo there are a number of restaurants set down from the roadside. We ate at three of these – El Duke (pushy tout but decent food), Benny Hills (corny name but excellent food, very friendly staff – say hello to Tariq (the tout) if he is still there. Be careful about wearing white socks when you go here, even if they are the trainer type !!!) & H.C.Anderson El Molino (very classy restaurant with high backed leather chairs, oak tables etc., you paid a little more but the luxury was worth it. Peppered steak was brill – say hello to Kundy the head waiter).
Another place to visit and eat is the Boulevard that runs west along the sea front from the Lighthouse at Maspalomas. The shops and restaurants along here are excellent and the view as the sunsets is stunning. A taxi from Las Margaritas is approximately 4 euros. Just go out to the road and flag one down, easier than waiting for reception to call one and then waiting for the right one to turn up.
We normally hire a car when we are on holiday but because they are so cheap decided to rely on local taxis. We visited Aqualand twice as there was a special offer on – if you bought 2 days entrance (at Aqualand) the cost for a family of 4 was only 100 euros (approx £70). You could use your second day anytime upto the end of October. First Choice were charging more than 100 euros for just one day and then your time there was restricted. On our second visit we didn’t have to queue, just straight in and on the first slides by 10:15am. Didn’t leave both days until the park closed at 6pm. Again taxi was just less than 4 euros each way.
PDI beach is about 20-25 mins walk down hill (takes slightly longer coming back) but there is a free bus service to either PDI or Maspalomas running regularly throughout the day. You get a little timetable when you check in. Thought PDI beach was great if a little overcrowded, however we had great time body surfing on the waves. Watch out there are some big ones that can knock you flying. A bit tedious on the return as the bus drops off at a number of other hotels. To be honest next time we will just use taxis to get to the beach and back.

The resort is a nice place to be in you are only a few minutes walk away from the big shopping centre and if your like me and want a bargin then the little shops are only up the road from the hotel.
There is a great english bar called Big Bens just around the corner from the hotel, what a great night it was in there, on our first night there was a bloke sining who was fantastic even thought the CD player broke down he would still sing to us all, on our 2nd visit there was a drag queen who would do a few acts taking the mik out of tina turner, shirley Bassy and so on, i would really recommend you see this and take part in the crazy bingo it was a great laugh.
The Kasbar where all the main bars and clubs are is about a 5 minute walk away from the hotel so there is no need for a taxi.
The beach is ery nice but very windy.

Great resort for young and old alike. The beach is huge but personally we did not like the sand as it took a bit washing off which we found strange.
Entertainment is varied and plentiful. Yumbo centre a must to see men in drag ( very funny shows ) tuns of shopping and loads of bars for all tastes. "Mackers" bar at the Chaperall Centre sells local lager at only 1 euro / pint and its ok. Be veryb warey when buying electrical goods as most are actually cheaper here in the uk with warrenties etc. Still, all in all worth a visit.

Free trip to beach resort as advised by your representative with a 42 euro discount on future trips is really time share however no mention of this at the welcome meeting.

The resort itself nice.. but rowdy!!
We noticed a couple of brawls whilst we were there so be careful.
The beach was lovely though, and there is lots to do.
I recommend playa del ingles, but definitely not walhalla!!
I hope this is of some help to somebody.
xx Stace

The whole resort was immaculate. No rubbish on the floor, hardly any cockroaches (*incase you're worried about them because I know I was - we saw 5 altogether and 2 of those were dead!)
Entertainment was second to none.
Loads of bars and clubs to suit everybody's needs. Though be warned, it can be expensive. (*in one bar it cost us 10 Euros for 2 cans of Red Bull!)
Head down to the Kasbah for the best nightlife!
The beach was also immaculate. Though be careful to wear something better than flip flops on your feet because the sand gets soooo hot and I burned my feet and could barely walk on it! it cost us 7.50 Euros for 2 sun loungers so it isn't too bad.
I'd definately visit this resort again and would recommend it.
Go - enjoy yourself. You will, I promise!
