Go above 2 floor avoid roadside, Adults only so quiet hotel until dog barks.nice staff and they even have a bearded lady who is quite a colourful character in the restaurant.

Watch out for the African women, favourite trick at the minute seems to be to ask you where your from, shake your hand and during this tie a bit of coloured string round your wrist.
They then chant some mumbo jumbo and ask for money.
My wife had on of them get her wrist in a tight hold and she wasnt liking it.
I know its impolite, but just walk past them.

I have visited Gran Canaria now 4 times and i find playa del ingles the best resort. The Kasbah is worth a visit and only a five minute walk from the hotel. The beach is about 10 mins away but they provide a bus for you from the hotel. Plenty of bars and restaurants around this vast area!

The resort was fantastic, the Kasbah centre had all you needed in entertainment including Ministry of Sound and Cream also a litte bar/club called club seven. We were only in club seven on the last night for an hour but it put us in the mood to go out dancing. We would have stayed there all night but had to go home to get packed for the flight home. We only went to the nightlife at the Kasbah on the last night which we regretted so my advice to anyone going to Playa del Ingles that is looking for a good night out dont leave going to the Kasbah until later in your holiday.

Playa Del Ingles is kept clean.The entertainment for me was purely The Yumbo center which is Gay, so don't bother going there if you are homophobic. The bars are lively and the food is great.
Did not visit the beach as its a bit of a walk from the hotel...about 20 minutes.

Playa de Ingles is a lively resort suited for couples and families. There is a good choice of bars and restaurants and I particularly enjoyed going to the Yumbo Centre having a few drinks and watching some very interesting people!
The beach is clean and safe and although there are some tacky looking shops, as in all resorts I would definately go back again.
Word of warning: You will be pestered alot by timeshare touts and african men/women trying to flog you all sorts - just ignore them and carry on walking and dont shake their hands!

Playa del ingles is a fun and lively resort. different to quite a lot of european resorts as rather than have main street of bar / cafes etc. most of the shops, entertainment etc. is based in or around the commercial centres, some very large, others quite small. Yumbo, kasbah and irish centre seem most popular.
Resort is clean and tidy, as is the beach. Dunes are spectacular.
Would say resort is great for families, couples and groups, although it was a little quiet when we went in early June.

Excellent location 5 mins downhill walk to the beach which we found an excellent bar there that served good food.
Shopping centres only 5-10 mins walk away although i would recommend that you get a taxi at night back to the hotel as we did get followed once by a group of men.
We used taxis most of the time to go a bit further out but we always made sure to get an approx price before we got in.
Always something for everyone..even the 'mini' funfair in maspolomas was good. Defffo go again.

Great all round entertainment in resort. For young and old
gay pride celebration was on while we were there is was fab.
Beaches are really good very clean.
Nightlife is good watch those prices though, you sit in some of them and then your order is like 18 euros for 2 drinks ouch. was caught once only.
Found 1 bar harrys that sold 1 pint 1 euro all day/night
2 vodka coke 3.95.
They showed football on sky so that was cheap doo.
Food was good too had all you can eat buffet 5.95 62 chinese dishes go up as many times as you can. We eat twice there as it was so good althought they make it up on drink prices so watch out for that.

The resort was absolutely beautiful, I loved it. The beach was very nice. There was lots to do! we went to aqua land twice. we went on the jet skies. there were lovely places to eat and very good entertainment.
I would definetly go back to this resort but i would strongly recommend not to go to Walhalla appartments unless you want your belongings stolen.
