Location
We arrived late at night. They dropped us off at the Tenerife Sur across the road so we had to drag our cases across a large road. A porter took us to our room which was located up 2 flights of stairs didnt offer to carry anything but once we were in it was ok.
There is no entertainment here but that was ok as we found our own, we only saw the rep once and after that he was never to be found if you needed him.
Transfer from the airport was good took about 15 mins, the pools were fab most people went to the one up the top if you go down through the apartments to the other they were empty the sunbeds were always there if you want them.
If you are staying here ask for a room at the back or there is a busy road to listen to at night and a bar underneath which is quite noisey when they are cleaning up till late.

The apartment pools are excellent and the gardens are well maintained. The apartment booked through Atlantic Horizons was spacious, well equipped and clean. In particular, the friendly and very helpful service provided by Richard and Gaynor cannot be too highly commended.
Despite the signs around the pool area requesting that sun beds were not to be reserved by towels, it was irritating to see most of the beds thus taken by 9.15 and then left 'empty' for much of the day!
We plan to book again at the Cristian Sur.

The food was brilliant especially when it was breakfast! The breakfast has a variety of things and you can get full english breakfasts wich are very yummy!
The location is great its close to a lovely beach and loads of restaraunts, the restaraunts are brill they do a variety of different types as well! If you fancied a day out at the waterpark you could pop in a taxi and it would take you 10 minutes to get to Aqualand!
The staff were ok but not the best when we went into the hotel they gave us the key to our room and left us to it! plus it was late at night and very dark. There was no lifeguard on duty hardly any of the time!
The entertainment ... well if you have kids there isnt really anything for them, but if your just boring then its perfect for you!
Across the road from Tenerife Sur there is Cristian Sur wich has some more pools but we visited it on a night and there wasnt anything there. However, there is quite a big shop at Cristian Sur and at reasonable prices but we tended to go to the one at our hotel but it isnt very big!
All in all I would definately visit again and I also think you should!!

Only negative is that pool area is very slippy when wet !!!
Overall opinion: based on the fact we are in our 40s not our 20s.
We really liked the complex and would recommed it to any one who wants a quiet time in the sun. Lively teenagers who want discos go elsewhere as you will probably find it boring.

Food was okay, first 2 nights it was only luke warm but improved after that. Nice full breakfast and decent choice at night. However it was out 1st time in Tenerife and I would definately go self catering next time - food is so cheap and their is so many restaurants. On our last 2 nights we went to a local chinese Brilliante - buffet style and it was excellent and vey cheap. The hotel is quite a way from the centre and best beach ( Las Vistas ) probablly a good half an hour walk or more - a long way with 2 kids in the heat but we managed.
We would stay here again if we could be assured of a pool view and not roadside as a main road ( I'm a light sleeper ). Otherwise very quiet no noise at night, nice staff and very clean.

The room that we were in was ok, but not the best. When you first go into the room there is a strange fishlike smell which goes once windows are opened. Also the room has no easy chairs just wicker dining style ones which do get uncomfortable after a while.
The rooms are also quite old in this block and could do with a refurb, but dont get me wrong it was clean and mostly suitable for what we wanted. [apart from the chairs].
The pool area was clean and quite warm for the time of year, WARNING!!! The sunbeds are gone by 10am along with the parasols, which you do need even in March. We found people would put towels on and not come back until late afternoon.
We used the restuarant a couple of times, the food was nice and reasonably priced and the were staff friendly and courteous.
The grounds were clean, pool area slippery when wet tho, best thing was NO cockroaches.
Hotel was about 10 mins walk to the town and beach.
There was no entertainment in the complex apart from a guy on keyboards in the reastaurant in the evening.

When we arrived here we found it quite weird that the reception was outside but the staff were very friendly and spoke good English, we were offered a safety deposit box and a remote for the t.v which costed 20 euros.
We requested a ground floor and that's what we got. The apartment was very spacious and clean (only saw the one cockroach thank god!!!). The complex bar was quite small and served basic food but was pleasant and cheap was good getting a beer in a frosted glass on a hot day.
There were two supermarkets on site which were handy and one of them made gorgeous sandwiches.
The pool area is very nice there are two massive pools divided into 3 sections. I got the feeling most of the apartments had people living in them more than having a holiday in them.
There was no entertainment put on at the complex but we just got a taxi into Playa de las Americas which was about 5 euros, there was a taxi rank across the road but getting a taxi was so easy you just had to put your hand out to stop one.
Me and my cousin being the lively type this was better for us specially going to veronicas strip where all the lively bars and clubs are.
For me personally I wouldn't come back to these apartments until I take my children and grandchildren and that won't be for a long time. my next holiday will be in Play de las Americas. Overall it was a good holiday.

The kids club was excellent provided by Direct,no problem either getting beds at this time of year, avoid the complex shop as it is expensive compared to places in the general area.
The night time entertainment was poor, one man and his keyboard no singing which finishs up really early. The apartments were basic inside but cleaned every day.
I would stay in these apts again but with a bit more daytime/evening enterainment, I'd be booked again for next yearwithout hesitation.

We stayed on 5th floor.Lovely helpful staff .Please please!! watch out for pool area the tiles are lethal very very slippery! they are completely smooth .
With or without shoes you will lose your footing as I found out on my last day when I slipped and broke my wrist in two places.I spent 3 days in hospital in las americas and ended up with an operation to insert pins in my wrist.Apparently accidents are quite common as a member of staff told us.
Would never stay at this hotel again unless they sorted out pool area.
