Location
The staff were very friendly and our room was cleaned on a regular basis.
We cannot comment on the resturant as we did not eat there but it looked clean and is in a very handy location.
The room was very nice and the balcony was a very good size and we had a good view. The room contained everything you would need and it was of a very good condition.
There are two pools at the resort. One is where the families tend to go and is very noisy but the other is usually just used by adults and is very quiet and peaceful.
We would visit this place again in the future and recomend it to family and friends.

The studio apartment was perfect, it was very clean and tidy. The maid service was good although they were very loud and chatty outside the rooms from very early.
I had all the kitchen facilties that I needed and also the use of a tv at a fee.
We only ate in the hotel's restaurant twice as on both occasions felt the staff were hurrying us along. Although saying that all the staff there were great, always cheery and ruffleing my son's hair or giving him lolly sweets.
There was no entertainment which was fine as there is about 6 bars right outside the hotel and around 4 at the back of the hotel.
The pool was great but be warned the tiling surrounding the pool area is extremly slippery when wet, I saw 2 children slip one of which hurt his knee went to hospital and came back in a wheel chair.
You will need to be by the poolside around 8.30am to grab some sun loungers, the poolside bar is open all day.
There is also a small playground which all the kids loved (what ever their age)
I would go back to this hotel in a couple of years.

Upon arrival luxury looking from front and well mannered desk staff all amenities in the apartment, toaster kettle ect ect and kept clean every two days.
All I can say is the pool was a delight. Big enough for all the apartments that were there and plenty of room but be warned do not run on the floor this is very slippy when wet but the lifeguard sweeps that away from time to time.
The food was just 100% and cheaper than the town centre beleve it or not. Oh yes, and dont try to go for a mid-night swim in the pool because they have night staff on patrolling the areas lol. Nearly got me but what the heck I was on holiday. Overall this place is ideal for families and a must for those who want to be a little walk from the busstling centre. I will be making a web page for Tenerife Sur and as soon as it is ready its open for all you to veiw it at no cost, just for memories only. Thanks for reading

Situated on the first floor it was a bit of a pain with the suitcases as there were many steps, other than this it was fine.
Waiting for sun beds was another issue, I hate having to set alarm clocks on holiday, but it was either that or go to the beach.
The bar and snackshop were all good value for money, and would definitely stay there again.

The complex employs a small army of cleaners and maintenance staff to ensure that not only are the rooms kept in an excellent manner, but that the grounds and amenities are also maintained to a high standard and that any problems are addressed quickly.
The reception staff are some of the best we have met on our various holiday trips, they all speak excellent English and are welcoming no matter what the hour of day or night.
The complex is situated in a good location and the promenade and harbour can be reached from several different directions all taking about 10 minutes walk.
Whilst there are plenty of sunbeds around the pool area, they are generally grabbed within the first ten minute of being unlocked at 9am. It was dissapointing to see families queing for them from 8am, placing them in desired locations then not occupying them for several hours.
We found that heading for the beach in the morning for a couple of hours, returning to the pool later in the afternoon after lunch, offered the best comprimise to this situation as poolside loungers start to free up when people have had to much sun.
If you stay self catering, as we did, use the super market sur, located in the christian sur complex over the road for your initial basic shop. However for the Netto in the CC Apollo, situated behind the Tenerife Sur, offers better value. The cheapest grocery shopping we found however was to be had in the Carolina(?) supermarket opposite the CSPA petrol station on the main drag into town.
We will happily return to this complex in future years and have no problems in recommending it to anyone.

Apartments were basic but clean and only 1 cockroach in whole 2 weeks.
Not much entertainment but pool was fantastic. If you get a chance visit Dave at Herritage bar just down road brill.
Would definately go back. Beware taxi drivers they are maniacs on road better get a bus if you can. Go to the medieval night as it was great entertainment and well worth money.

They also clean the pool area every morning before opening the pool. The sunbed situation was a bit mad as people were queing before 8 in the morning and if you were not there by 8.40 for the 9 o'clock unlocking you had no chance.
By 9.05 there was usually only about 6 of us around the pool and the beds looked like they were in a best dressed competition.
At the start of our second week (26th August) it started to get quieter by the day and for the last 5 days there were plenty of beds available all day.
The food in the Restaurant and the Garden Bar were both excellent value and good quality. If you want a british experience then across the road are about 6 bars and some restaurants and around the back in the Apollo centre are about another 4 bars which do food.
The bars in the Apollo centre also do pints @ 1 Euro until 7pm.
The location is good because there are lots of local bars and the front is only 10 mins away.
The hotel staff were brilliant. We arrived at 1.10am and when we got to our room on the ground floor found 7 cockroaches in the first 2 minutes. We went back to reception and was given a room on the second floor straight away and never saw one again.
There is an organist playing most nights of the week and they had a Flamenco show which was very good but apart from that nothing for the kids. We were lucky as Direct Holidays had a kids club which my little girl Rosie loved(thanks Debbie and Jayne).
This and the fantastic pool area made her holiday. If the hotel utilised the pool area properly and had a Mini Disco for the kids and a bit of entertainment it would have been perfect.
I think the general guide for food is to look at how busy the Restaurants are and if they are busy go in. We didn't have any bad food but the restaurant we loved the most was El Brasero just past the Cristian Sur.
Their speciality was shoulder of lamb and it was delicious and also their fillet steaks were great.

We had no problem getting our sunbeds. We never ate at night in the complex restaurant/snack bar but occasionally did at lunchtime and the food was very good

Very good complex with a friendly atmosphere. Most guests were families with young kids so even though there was no entertainment put on, they could have fun by themselves swimming, playing pool etc.
The cafe was very good, just fry ups & bacon butties etc but good way to start the day & cheap. They also do evening meals there but we preferred to try some of the restaurants in he town. There are 2 supermarkets in the complex which stock most things but it is less pricy to walk 15 mins down the road to the town centre.
The appartments are about 1km form the town & beach. There are about a dozen bars & restaurants within 5 mins walk.
Gaynor & Richard from Atlantic Horizons next to the cafe were fantastic - giving advice & booking tickets to the water park, jungle park & boat cruises. They also sorted car hire (30 Euros fo 24h with insurance) & cashed travellers cheques.

Being young, I would have preferred to be nearer the nightlife (las americas) but, taxi fares are cheap (6/7 euros to veronicas, which is nothing when there are four sharing a taxi.) However, after/before a night out, there are some wonderful funky little bars opposite the hotel. My personal favourite was the Arms Park... *bigup my main men Levi and Darren the midget!* They are very friendly, and will make you feel welcome.
Also, if it is your first time in tenerife, get chatting to these guys, because they will tell you all the hotspots on the island!
We didnt stay in the hotel on an evening to sample the entertainment, feeling that the centre of town is more lively and to our taste, however, the centre of town is not far, nor is the beach for during the daytime.
Had a wonderful time, would recommend and would DEFINITELY stay again!
