We travelled to the Villa Mandi in September 2004 and I could not believe what we got for sheer value for money.

The appartments are very Canarian in style and decor. They are massive in size, twin sinks and shower finished in glorious marbled tiles. The kitchen was well stocked with the useful utensils and microwave, fridge, 2 ring cooker and pans.

The room was very spacious with TV , sofa bed[sleeps 2], coffee table and lovely wall pictures. The patio doors opened from the room and led you onto a large balcony. The bedroom was 2 single beds, bedside tables, lamp and massive floor to ceiling mirrored wardrobes.

The cleanliness of the place was the best I have ever experienced with cleaners in every day, bed linen changed daily, towels daily if required and a polite nature of the staff.

There was an onsite restaurant which was rather expensive but the 2 times we ate there, the food was excellent. A snack bar was open during luch time and that was extremely handy for the kids. The bar was open from about 10.00am until about 11.00pm. Not badly priced but did close too early on a night.

Entertainment - forget it ! You never needed it anyway onsite because you had the best of both Los Christianos and Las Americas about 15 mins away in either direction. Los Cristianos was lovely through the day with glorious beaches and lovely bar front eateries and even better restaurants. Las Americas was where we went on an evening a number of times and that was fantastic too, although far livlier than Los Cristianos.

The Full Monty bar on the Patch was a favourite of ours and the DJ was the best we had ever seen. Lots of eateries on the patch too ranging from chinese buffets,steakhouses to indian food. All very palatable and not unreasonably priced.

The location of the hotel had some disadvantages. It would take us about 30 mins to walk into Los Cristianos at first, but after finding all the best shortcuts, we scaled that down to less that 20. Las Americas seemed nearer to reach. Plenty of taxis available charging anything from 3 to 5 euros. If after a lively day or night out you wanted tranquility and a good nights sleep, the place was brilliantly located.
Right next to a magnificent golf course if you liked that sport.

May I also point out, the air conditioning in these appartments is totally free of charge and it worked fantastically well, always nice and cool.

The staff at the Villa Mandi were excellent. The receptionists, cleaners, bar staff and our Thomson Rep Nicola were first class. They love kids and lolipops were given out in plentiful amounts free.

I would not hesitate to return again. This was far better than anywhere else we have stayed and all the guests thought the same. I would recommend these appartments to everyone. Book them you will be well pleased you did.
