This was our 4th visit to Benidorm, but our 1st to the new town, our other visits had been with the amigos group of hotels.
This hotel is much better,near to the clubs and shops, but far enough away for a peaceful sleep.
The food is excellent,steaks,chops, chicken and remember to check out the show cooking counter, here you will find beef madras, chicken tikka, chilli-con-carne.
The hotel is large and the dinning room can get busy, so go later, they are always bringing in fresh trays of food.
The staff put on shows, which are either funny or embarassing depending on your point of view. The only downside is the main lounge bar, it is like a works canteen,plastic tables and chairs and bright lighting which hardly gets turned down, but most people are out in the evenings,Good rooms well cleaned daily, with fresh towels.
Thomson are the only company that go here,they have struck gold with this one, we will go back next year!

Excellent food, though did not try the one labelled "pasta and scum" !!!!!!!!
Everwhere spotless, maids immaculate
Location excellent, few minutes to the beach, but on all corners you will find blanket trip and pub touts,none were agressive and all were downright extremely pleasant, really nice young lads asking you to go to Tommys Bar or The Dogs B^%$

This is the first time we have been to Benidorm and stayed at the Rio Park. The hotel accomodation was excellent. The maids did a great job in cleaning the room and supplying fresh towels and toilet rolls every day.
The food was plentifull with excellent choices every day. The evening entertainment was not great but there is plenty to do outside the hotel.
The lifts were a bit slow at peak periods but they are in the process of installing another two lifts. All the staff we spoke to were very pleasant.

This is the BEST hotel in the world!! We go there every year and NEVER get bored!!
The staff are the most friendliest bunch of people you could ever want to meet, especially Jose Sierra, Jose Miralpeix, Saeed, Jose Luis, Zahid, Noor, Pedro Martinez, Juan, Miguel Angel, Martin and Ollie (Thompson rep.
We have made a lot of friends here, mainly all the staff!!! The hotel is very clean, the food is delicious, the tapas bar (crispy bite) is great aswel, the entertainment is so funny and brilliant!! This is our favorite hotel! We love the Rio Park!

I found the hotel very good. It was very clean and you could not ask for better staff who were very friendly and helpful.
Hotel location great not far from shops and bars but far enough so it wasn't too noisy.
The food was great a choice for everyone most nights.
The only downfall was the entertainment at night could do with improvement to suit different age groups mainly felt it was aimed at older people.
The pool was great spent most days there.
Would definitely go back if the entertainment was improved although the staff tried their best.

Initial impressions: we were particularly impressed with the appearance of Hotel Rio Park, both inside and outside. It exceeded our expectations. It was much cleaner than we anticipated, the cleaning staff do a great job and visit to clean and tidy your room every day.
We were also very impressed by the air conditioning system which, in your own room, could be adjusted manually to your own liking.
Being on the 9th floor, we were appreciative of the service of the lifts even if sometimes we did have to wait for about 15 minutes after calling it. We were made aware of the fact that more lifts are to be installed in the near future.
Overall, we had a good stay at Hotel Rio Park but wouldn't stay again due to the following...
The food, in our opinion was poor and not to our taste most days meaning we had to venture to other restaurants and fork out more money for a decent meal.
There are safes in the bedroom but you have to pay out about twenty euros in order to borrow a key to use it.
The cleaning staff give a quick knock on your bedroom door in the morning before walking in without waiting for a response. There is no internal lock meaning we could never truly relax in the bedroom in case one of the maids walked in - one did one day when I was in the shower!
The pool looks great but we never got to use it - it's constantly full of kids all day so you can't swim in it.
Finally, the walls and ceilings must be like paper because you can hear everything going on in other rooms including furniture movements which never seem to end and rowdy neighbours.

Lovely hotel..except two break ins happened when we were there..one being my room!!! The hotel staff claim it doesn't happen at all..they cover up these incidents as one off.. but beware..get a safe.. I didn't !!!!
Did not put us off the hotel though!!!!! It happens a lot...
Plus don't accept scratch cards from anyone on the street...they are timeshare..they lie!!!!
Lovely food as the Rio...special area for kids meals which we did not spot until week 2!!!!!

We have been here before the renovations and were delighted with the changes, especially the air conditioning in the rooms.
The new lifts will be another plus, we were 10 floors up and usually walked at mealtimes. The changes in reception and Pacos Bar are beautiful.
All staff were great.
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here and would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

Have to say, this was the best holiday we have been on so far. We were worried about the talk of building work going there before we went but when we got there we didn't even notice. All the refurshibments are complete on the hotel and are very impressive.
The food was superb with so much choice, I got too used to having a cooked breakfast every morning!
The hotel was immaculately clean inside and out and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Just far enough away from the resort that it's nice and quiet when you get back at night but literally a 5 minute walk to all the bars and shops.
We are already planning to return next year with friends.

The hotel is still being done up, but that does not affect the hotel as the work is behind fencing panels. This hotel has only got 2 stars but when the work is finished it will be 3 star, it should be a 3 star hotel now.
It was great for children with it not being too close to all the pubs so they can sleep ok but it was not to far to walk to them.
The only downside about this hotel is that when we were there the other lifts had not been installed so you had to wait about 5 to 10 mins at meal times to get a lift.
The food was great but after 14 days the breakfast was too much as it is the full english or continetal so not much choice. The evening meals where great.
If you like to play a game of pool you will also find this a great place to stay with it having 6 tables. This hotel must also have the biggest swimming pools in Benidorm as we did not see any others bigger.
