Location
Entertainment was dreadful. Hotel was half full of Spanish who were very very rude and their children were left to run around unchecked and annoy everyone.

Hotel is several 100 metres from shops and then mainly supermarkets
Entertainment was poor. Daytime entertainment was cancleeled on several days as there weren't enough people wanting to participate -in their opinion
During the evenings the entertainment team appeared to think they were on holiday andf spent every night laughing together whilst presenting shows, bingo etc
Only one professional show each week...Mini disco was short and sweet.

The hotel was undergoing some refurbishment but it didnt bother us there was no noise or dust. The food was good there is always something to suit everyone at every mealtime. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and as we booked direct they know who we were as soon as we walked into reception. Mind you I can say that the entertainment has gone down hill.
Mini disco for the kids lasted 15 minutes at the most and was terrible and in a weeks stay there was only one professional show, the rest was terrible, however, there are a few bars at the bottom of the gardens which are not bad.

The entertainment food and staff friendliness is not as good as it was since it has been taken over.
They were refurbishing the hotel, but surely it would have been better closing for a month maybe and doing it then rather than dust flying about all over the place ie the restaurant and the entertainment area to name a couple.
Also the staff on reception were not particularly helpful or friendly, again completely different to last year, its such a shame because if a little more thought on how it was run was put into it it would be a very good hotel still.
Never mind you live and learn

The rooms are ready for a revamp but ok, bathroom had alredy been done by the look of it. the outside walls have not long been painted but the patio doors were in need of a coat ( I notice things llike this Im in the job!) one or two floors were all masked up, and and parts of the ceiling was down in places were new air conditioning was being fit, the whole place is undergoing a revamp. but to give them credit it did not affect the hotel guests.
The bar was busy every night, disco, bingo and shows, all ok. food was reasonably good, english brekkie, pasta meat or fish to choose from every evening, stay away from the soup, every one was tasteless ! nice big pool area and gardens , fair walk into the centre about 45 mins, several english bars next to hotel.
Had a good time here but would not return to Fuengirola, for the price we paid it was excellent value for money..... 86 quid for 4 days 3 nights all in ! If you have booked here I dont think you will be disappointed

The hotel food was always cold, but there was a microwave there so you could warm it up. The only thing is I noticed there were alot of the same on each day/night. I wasn't keen on the food but then again I am a fussy eater. You couldn't go hungry though as the restauraunt was near enough always open for you to pop in and get a snack. And for me it was brill that I could go in at anytime to warm the baby's food up.
The hotel location is far out form the pubs and shops. There is a bus that stops outside the hotel and they come quite frequent, but if you have got kids, it might be too much out of the way. There are only afew pubs near to the hotel and the nearest shop is a walk away (Especially wih kids). It is NOT in the middle of Fuengirola. The hotel staff were really nice, very polite.
Never saw much of the entertainment but what I did see was ok. There was never anywhere to sit when we got down there so we just went to one of the bars down the road and then came to the hotel later.

Lunn Poly sold us half board not mentioning the there was an all-inclusive option. The food was excellent, a varied choice with a separate children's menu.
All public areas and the bedrooms/bathrooms were clean and well furnished. The garden was particularly lovely, well tended and quiet with lots of sunbeds and parasols if you didn't want to join in the activities around the pool.
Although the hotel is well out of Fuengirola, the harbour etc it is a nice walk or taxi (6 Euros)or bus (1 Euro)It's quiet at night with no real noise from the main road running at the front.
It's in a lovely spot with just a minor road between the Hotel and the sea.
The staff were helpful, pleasant and polite. We asked to change to a higher floor and were given one immediately.
The entertainment was among the best I've seen in hotels like this one. If you want buzzing nightlife and clubbing then Fuengirola is probably not your place but if you want to chill it is and the Gardenia Park is certainly a hotel to think of. We will be back next year!

The food was they best ive had in an all-inclusive hotel Ive stayed in on our budget. A varied choice everyday, anyone who can complain about the food wants their head testing.
Maybe for people with no kids the hotel might be a bit out of the way for nightlife, but a bus stop was right outside which took you into the centre in about 10 mins.
Overall the hotel staff were polite and helpful. The entertainment was the best we have seen in a hotel like this,it was really good, the entertainer who looked like Robbie Williams was a really funny bloke.
There were plenty of activities for the kids during the day ,I would definately return to this hotel, but I would book the hotel and flights on there own through the internet as it costs less than half price than what we paid.

Food however was a pitiful joke. The worst we have had, anywhere. Chips everyday, the choice was awful, and all the meats tasted the same because of the damn curry flavoured gravy the meats are served in. We spent 2 weeks here and after the first week we didn't really eat in the hotel the food was that bad.
Location I've put 3 out of 5 because it's very close to the beach, but miles away from the town centre, as it's basically on the border line to Benalmadena.
The staff were all pretty good, cleaners excellent but bar tenders poor, although friendly. As this hotel has a lot of Spanish guests the bar tenders favoured them and about 4 or 5 times they would just pick the Spanish out of the queue to serve first - highly annoying. A lot of guests who we spoke to were also annoyed at this fact, so it wasn't just us.
Entertainment was ok, the Argentina dance superb. However, things like the bingo got boring every night. And if the Whitney Houston tribute is there, stay well away. She can't sing at all, never mind sing like Whitney.
We took our 2 year old with us and there was nothing for him to do at all. So I would recommend not taking any kids under 5.
The grounds to the hotel were really great though and from entering the hotel from the gardens, the hotel look far more than a three star. However when you get in or stay there and sample the food, you will wonder how it got 3 stars.
1 more thing, we went in July and it was scorching, superb weather. As you can imagine nights were hell because of the heat and the fact there is no air con in the rooms. So we tried to hire a fan from reception. Only to be told that you can only hire them during the day! What's the point.
All in all we really enjoyed our time in Fuengirola, not so the hotel. In an all inclusive resort, the food should be a high priority, and at best the food here was poor.
We will go back to Fuengirola, but never back here.
