All rooms face the pool or castle. Restaurants along the beach front are all very good and in the hotel if its just chips, burgers and pizza you want.
Whole cooked chicken from the skate park cafe was very nice to.

Try La Tasca Andaluza restaurant; intimate, typically Spanish. Excellent menu of the day 8.50 euros; lots of choice, generous portions + complementary olives, bread and liqueur. Ying Ping also very good and reasonable.
Ask for high floor, the view is fabulous.

You are not really within walkin distance of anything but we were only a 8/10 Euro taxi ride from either Benalmedena or Fuengarola. Both have lots of shopping and lovely beaches. Both resorts are clean and tidy and we have found things to do in both these resorts. The Marina at Benalmadena is a beautiful place to visit and eat in, especially at night. There are lots of lovely restaurants and some fanatastic shops.

The Los Boliches area was quieter than Fuengirola but only a 10 min walk away. Plenty of bars, shops, cafes etc would recommend Cafe Manilla a meal for 2 13 - 20 euros with drinks near to Yaramar Hotel, very cheap & tasty meals & perfect for staying for a drink. Los Boliches beach is a blue flag beach, spotlessly clean with plenty of sunloungers for 8 euros for 2 (£4.20 approx) for the day.
Quite supprised at how clean the whole area of Costa del Sol is they even hose down the streets after 12am !
Went to Gibraltar, quite a queue to get in but we'd hired a jeep & set off early, on reflection we would have parked up & walked in as there is limited parking once over the boarder. Just near the boarder in the Spainish side there is a large market on Tuesdays. Didn't go up the rock as quite expensive & it was misty so you couldn't enjoy the view! The jeep was booked through carjet.com full insurance etc would recommend them.
Visited Torremolinos, lovely place staying there in November, Torrox, Nerja, very picuresque & Benalmadena. The train station at Los Boliches goes to all the resorts on the way to & Malaga airport so the transfer is only about 6 euros. There are plenty of excursions to Seville, Barcelona, Alhambra Palace, Gibraltar
Would definitely stay at Los Boliches again.

The beach near the hotel was very dirty with lots of building work going on near by.
It is best to travel further into town for a better stlye of beach,
Near to a market, well worth visiting on Tuesdays.

What you see is what you get in Fuengirola. Over the years, since I first drove past in 1969, it has developed into a mega holiday destination, and caters for every age group.
The beaches stretch for miles, and every step of the way you'll come across either a chiringuito (beach bar), or restaurant.
As far as dining goes, you will be spoiled for choice. Don Pe and Casa Roberto are top of the range, while the likes of Tipi Tapa and Los Marineros, overlooking the harbour, will not stretch the wallet, nor disappoint.
If solitude and peace and quiet are at the top of your holiday check list, give Fuengirola a miss.
But if you crave a lively time in the company of like-minded travellers, it is one of the real hot spots on the Costa del Sol.

This resort was was very clean.
Entertainement was poor, but it is only April. Apparently pubs now need licence for entertainement so many have had to stop meantime.
Beach was very clean, eight euros a day for two sunbeds.
I would definately visit this resort again and use the train service to travel around it is excellent.

Ideal resort for us old folk It is flat, easy to get about and not as rowdy as some places we have visited.
Excellent transport system both local and intercity. Quick clean and very cheap. Many good cafes for self-caterers, for instance there is one near the Marina that does an excellent full English breakfast for 3.95 euros.

The resort is very nice but didn't see a lot of it because we did stay at our complex.

The resort is lovely the beach is absolutely fab and there are lots for the kids to do on the beach all the way along.
The marina is lovely and full of loads of cheap places to eat. Mind you dont let your children walk or go anywhere near the wall along the beach. A bit bit of limestone was slack on the wall on fell off onto my leg leaving me was pouring of blood and a nice big scar to go with it.
