All rooms face the pool or castle. Restaurants along the beach front are all very good and in the hotel if its just chips, burgers and pizza you want. Whole cooked chicken from the skate park cafe was very nice to.

Ask for high floor, the view is fabulous.
Try La Tasca Andaluza restaurant; intimate, typically Spanish. Excellent menu of the day 8.50 euros; lots of choice, generous portions + complementary olives, bread and liqueur. Ying Ping also very good and reasonable.

Access to the beach at Fuengirola was a short walk (about 15 min) and this is the best place to travel from as well. The local trains are every 30 mins up and down the coast and are very cheap - 1.10 euros single to Torremolinos (13eu by taxi - no contest here). I had 2 children under 10 and they loved the trains. We travelled out on the Gibraltar trip which was the highlight of our week. Saw the dolphins and had a whistlestop tour of the rock. However, not enough time for shopping as well so next time we will hire a car for the day, park outside the border and walk across to spend as long as we like!
From Torremolinos - the cable car up 2500ft to the donkey sanctuary is a must, as is the crocodile park.
Because of the time of year, it was quite quiet, but the bit of Benalmadena that the HV is in is not really overrun anyway.

The restaurants in the resort are mostly in the middle called restaurant alley as we called it. We caught a train to Benaldamena, about 1.10 euros each way. There are quite a few bars as well, english and spanish especially one we went to called Breezers, very friendly. Very clean beaches around the resort. We will be going back sometime to the area again.

Although the hotel is some way from the resort centre, the walk was good, there wernt any hills to climb, maybe an incline but nothing severe.

There was lots of dogs and people used to take them on the beach, which put me us off going on to the beach a bit, but maybe because we visited out of season.

I loved the hotel and the resort and will be going back in the future.

Fuengerola now looks very tired and dated. Its such a pity because it used to be very clean and tidy....

This is the second time we have stayed in this resort the last time the other end of the resort. It was very quiet but it was March and not the height of the season, would think that it could become very noisy in mid summer so would not return then.

The Costa del Sol is a very nice place in general although like anywhere it has its dirty and rough spots, especially in Fuengirola.

There isn't much to do at night outside your hotel, but plenty to do in the day.

The beaches are very nice and very long and spacious, I would definitely come back!

Resort was kept spotlessly clean. A few of the larger establishments were closed, but it was January. But still loads of places to eat and drink, all good quality stuff.Rain kept us from the beach (freak weather week!Just my luck) but beaches again looked well tended. I would visit again. We had a wheelchair user with us and it was very flat, ramps up and down the pavements. No hills! Lovely place and lovely views.
