All rooms face the pool or castle. Restaurants along the beach front are all very good and in the hotel if its just chips, burgers and pizza you want.
Whole cooked chicken from the skate park cafe was very nice to.

Ask for high floor, the view is fabulous.
Try La Tasca Andaluza restaurant; intimate, typically Spanish. Excellent menu of the day 8.50 euros; lots of choice, generous portions + complementary olives, bread and liqueur. Ying Ping also very good and reasonable.

This was my second visit to Fuengirola and probably my last, It just doesnt have enough for me.
One thing to try though is the excellent rail service which runs from Fuengirola to Malaga, its clean, cheap and on time.
We visited Marbella and Torrimolinos but wasnt impressed by either.
We took a trip to Gibralter(our second) and apart from cheap fags and booze its a waste of time unless like us you go to Morrisons for real food.

The area is good for sightseeing with a local train into malaga, the zoo is well layed out well worth the visit, we also went on a dolphin cruise amongst other things, every one should do it, what an experience, also plenty of shops, for clothes and food, plenty cafes to, I would definatley go back again. Maybe in January.

There is so much building work going on in Fuengirola,it is making it a very noisy and dusty town.We counted fourteen cranes on one building site alone. However we did enjoy our walk each day from Castle Beach Hotel, about thirty minutes, and found some lovely little restaurants along the back streets that served traditional Spanish food.If you only want English food there are heaps of places along the front. The local Zoo is well worth a visit, both for adults and children.

Fuengirola is a ideal place for walking with a 4-5 mile long promenade which is flat walking.Beautiful beaches.
Train and buses are very handy for traveling along the costa del Sol coast.

Ths complex is in between two towns, however are easy accessible by bus (cheap and not always on time) or taxi readily available and a (little more expensive) your on holiday indulge yourself.

Benaldema marina was lovely at night, shops stay open to late and lovely restaurants (jacks is great!!). Beware of the inoying chinese people that are constantly selling stuff.
Benaldema was a nice place to shop. Torremolinos was ok, abit touristy for me, however nice beach. Hated fueringola (sorry cant spell!), once you were there, it was impossible to get back as buses were so full and everyone pushed themselves on them.
I think the western side of costa del sol is nicer, Marbella and Puerto Banus etc.

To be honest we were only here 4 days and didnt see much of the resort. It is so typically english but it didnt matter really.
we were in an ideal location for travelling, and we did a day trip to malaga, a day trip to Ronda, a trip to Mijas and only spent one day looking around the resort itself.
There was a really nice zoo. I would definately recommend that! i thought the beach looked nice but we didnt spend more than 10 mins there.
There seemed a lot of restaunts but not many very spanish ones... we did find one really nice restaurant where we were the only english in there... but i cant remember the name!
