All rooms face the pool or castle. Restaurants along the beach front are all very good and in the hotel if its just chips, burgers and pizza you want.
Whole cooked chicken from the skate park cafe was very nice to.

Try La Tasca Andaluza restaurant; intimate, typically Spanish. Excellent menu of the day 8.50 euros; lots of choice, generous portions + complementary olives, bread and liqueur. Ying Ping also very good and reasonable.
Ask for high floor, the view is fabulous.

We was between Fenguirola and Benalmadena. Both seemed OK but didn't really do much at either apart from visit the Marina at Benalmadena which was really nice.

Location & Taxis:
The holiday village is certainly a taxi drive from all surrounding areas. A taxi will cost between 7 and 12 euros if you travel into Benalmadena centre or Finguerola and only takes approximately 10 minutes.
Benalmadena Harbour/Marina:
Benalmadena has a really beautiful harbour which is well worth a visit. We got a taxi into Finguerola harbour then travelled by ferry into Benalmadena marina. This took approximately 1 hour and was well worth it. The Holiday Village can be seen in the distance and it then becomes quite obvious just how far away it is from anything else around!
Fuengirola Zoo:
This is a must! It is in the centre of town but once inside you feel as though you've entered an African Jungle! The animals are amazing and it's unbelieve how near you can get to the crocodiles, gorillas, leopards and the little lemurs which were jumping on our shoulders! Well worth a visit but try to go when there are a few clouds in the sky because it is so warm!
Mijas:
The little spanish village of Mijas is lovely and takes approximately 25 minutes to get there by car. It is set high up in the hills. Once there the streets are narrow with white washed buildings and there are restauants which look over the rolling countryside, you can see for miles on a clear day. Lots of people here travel by donkey or by horse and cart.
Benalmadena Marina:
Inside are dolphin shows, sea-lion shows and parrot shows, which are all very charming and enjoyable. Be warned though, the shows are on at certain times of the day, and unless you ask about this before hand you could be waiting around 2 hours for one to begin!
Sea Life Centre in Benalmadena:
This is a delight for all and just the right size. Well worth a visit.
All in all we feel our holiday wasn't good value for money but it was very enjoyable because we were determined not to allow certain things spoil it.

The resort centre was pretty much as we expected, the beaches were overcrowded and not very clean and the town itself to busy.
I didnt go there for the town, beach or nightlife as the hotel we stayed at had everything we wanted on site.

Los Boliches was brilliant. The beach was clean and the sea safe most of the time, the only exception being the jellyfish who enjoyed the warm water. Plenty of watersports and a lovely promenade to take an evening stroll before enjoying a drink at Toms Irish Bar.

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday in the centre of Fuengirola and we won't be returning!
The beach was dirty and smelly and the sand was very gritty, we couldn't go in the sea because of all the jellyfish which we understand happens often in the resort.
We could not believe how busy it was the traffic was so heavy the fumes seemed to choke you to death. The main coastal road which you have to cross to get to the beach is mad and with two small children it was a nightmare.
The good side to the area were the zoo a must if you have children it was brilliant and we also visited Mijas a small village in the mountains, very pretty. However, apart from that I shouldn't bother, we definitely won't be returning.

The Torreblanca area is lovely with clean weel kept beaches, and the bars on the front are very friendly and cheap...especially the Flamingo Bar.
Nothing is too much trouble for the owners, from advice on the area to phoning for taxis...even taking us to the exchange shops!

We used the beach area opposite the hotel and it was kept very nice with plenty of bins to put your rubbish in.
The road in front of the hotel was always clean with workers cleaning rubbish and hosing down every evening.
You could get drinks from the Rivera Beach Club bar and they did a very nice coffee which was nice in the early part of the day.

The resort itself was very nice, clean and tidy, no litter on the floor etc.
The Resort entertainment was good, the more lively young ones like my son found that only 20 mins from the hotel was a few clubs.
The beach was of a very high standard. However the sand was a bit hot as the daily average temperature was 35 degrees.
I would visit the resort again!!!
