All rooms face the pool or castle. Restaurants along the beach front are all very good and in the hotel if its just chips, burgers and pizza you want.
Whole cooked chicken from the skate park cafe was very nice to.

Ask for high floor, the view is fabulous.
Try La Tasca Andaluza restaurant; intimate, typically Spanish. Excellent menu of the day 8.50 euros; lots of choice, generous portions + complementary olives, bread and liqueur. Ying Ping also very good and reasonable.

Fuengerola is a lovely resort, with lots to do.
There were areas of the resort which weren't very clean but you get this everywhere.
There are lots of bars along the sea front in the evening, and the bech was brilliant

Well what can I say, a really good holiday.
Fuengirola a lovely place. You must visit The Latino Bar (near The Jabega, down a little side street) Mark and Steve, the proprietors are great. Nothing is too much trouble.
Carling and Worthingtons on draught too. We spend every evening at The Latino and will definately miss it. The zoo is worth a visit too, small but beautiful.

Fuengirola is an excellent holiday resort catering for all ages. The streets are kept very clean with cleaners in evidence till the early hours of the morning.
Public transport is superb, always running to timetable and providing easy access between the various nearby resorts at affordable prices.
There is a wide range of entertainment for the young and old and an excellent choice of eating places to suit all budgets.
The beach areas are spotless with plenty of sunbeds for hire.
I would return to this resort but would choose another hotel.

the resort was very clean and the beach was very good . there wasn't enough for children to do in the evenings and most bars wanted you to eat and not take up seats just having a relaxing drink. Iwould not go back to this resort again.

We stayed at the Yaramar Hotel directly opposite the beach in Fuengirola. We found the resort generally clean but stayed mainly with the entertainment at the hotel and could not find much in the immediate area to tempt us outside. There are plenty of places to eat and drink along the beach and two markets a week within walking distance.
The beach itself was very clean with reasonably priced comfortable sunbeds and free parasols.
We ventured out on the train a few times and found this easy to use and get around to neighbouring areas such as Benalmadena and Torremolinos.
We would not hesitate to book another holiday in Fuengirola but would make sure we booked the Yaramar Hotel for the entertainment.

In between Fuengirola and Benalmadena 10 mins either way by car/bus.Definatley recommend AI as a pain to go this distance regular.
With 2 small kids it,s much better to stay in the complex. The Beach club is across the road via a bridge but the road is far too busy with young children to cross.
The Beachclub is fab easliy wandered over to beachclub after breakfast and then back for late lunch in which there would be sunbeds available. The beach is far away too far to walk with young children. Stayed around the hotel for 2 weeks but next would like to explore a few bars in the towns.
FC run a trip to Puerto Banus by night and we heard some good reports about this-though I remember a little pricey for a family of 4. Discounts please.Went to both town beaches ok general standard.
The thing I remember most is how dated the hotels looked compared to HV! Had a run out to Gibraltar hird a car in Benalmadena cheaper the hotel but had to fetch it! cost around £100 for 3 days. Took 11/2 to get to Gibraltar but BEWARE-the monkeys bite. Keep your car windows closed and food out of sight.
On the plus side the Hospital is English and free and I was in & out in 20 mins with a presciption for £2.50 from Tesco's! Please keep young children well away from the monkeys, myself as an adult was deeply shocked and in pain at the time.
I would definaltley be going back this year to HV & Gibraltar -great shops and Duty fee, but be aware you get checked at the Passport in Gibraltar so only take your allowance or else!
