All rooms face the pool or castle. Restaurants along the beach front are all very good and in the hotel if its just chips, burgers and pizza you want.
Whole cooked chicken from the skate park cafe was very nice to.

Try La Tasca Andaluza restaurant; intimate, typically Spanish. Excellent menu of the day 8.50 euros; lots of choice, generous portions + complementary olives, bread and liqueur. Ying Ping also very good and reasonable.
Ask for high floor, the view is fabulous.

We would recommend Fuengirola to anyone who would mind being in a busy and lively town.
Easy to travel around by bus which is cheap. The zoo is a must and the market.

We have stayed in Fuengirola on several visits.
The resort is clean,no litter on the streets. There was building work being carried out a couple of times.
The resort offers a vast selection of cafes and restaurants, which are all along the seafront.
The beach is clean and raked most nights/mornings.

The resort was tidy and quiet, we especially recommend the zoo which was absolutely fantastic.

The area was fine, we enjoyed the Sunday market and visiting a number of the local bars during the week. At the end of our stay the local fesitival was just starting and we enjoyed a wonderful evening watching the firework displays and taking in the sights of the fun fair.

The resort was very clean, whilst we was there it was the Fuengirola festival so the was a firework display which you could see from the hotel grounds.
The beach was brilliant and very clean, the sea was also very nice.
I would recommend the hotel and resort.

We chose to visit Fuengirola when the Feria was taking place as we had missed it in previous years. There were two bank holidays during our two weeks but we did notice that the streets were not as clean as usual. Obviously the street sweepers did not work on the bank holidays and the town was packed for the Feria so that is maybe why.
There was plenty to see and do for us ( we are in our 40s) but our son and his fiancee (both 24)came over for a long weekend and found it boring! However they are used to Magaluf and Ibiza so there is no comparison really. Most of the clubs had closed down for the Feria as had a few of the bars but we still found plenty to do and the Feria was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, because the Feria was taking place, the Tuesday Market was cancelled and I had been really looking forward to doing some shopping there.
Talking of shopping, there is a brand new shopping centre (Miramar I think it was called) up by the castle. You can get some brilliant things in there and it has a massive hypermarket attached which if you are self catering and on a tight budget could be a Godsend as the smaller supermarkets tend to be expensive. The yellow bus goes there so it is easy to get your shopping home but there is a taxi rank outside if you want a quick journey back to the hotel.
If you are wanting to go on a Dolphin Trip I can highly recommend the Dolphin Safari at Marina Bay in Gibraltar. It's more expensive than the others at 35 euros pp but they use a small boat that only takes twelve people so you get a brilliant view of the dolphins. You can either go on one of the trips to Gib or hire a car for the day which is what we did. That way you get to see everything but I'd recommend that you leave about 8am as the queues to get in to Gib are not as long early in the morning and if you take the toll road (not expensive) it takes just over an hour from Fuengirola.
The joy of Fuengirola is that you are central for visiting lots of other places such as Mijas, Ronda, Marbella and Puerto Banus ( go there on a Saturday evening to see how the other half lives!), Torremolinos, Benalmadena where the Pueblo is much nicer than the Costa,Malaga and the list goes on and on.
Definitely my favourite holiday destination!

Tesort clean but a little run down they are just in the process of re-doing roads and buildings etc.
Not a lot of restaurants to eat as far as I could see but we were all inclusive so didn't matter too much for us.
Beach very clean indeed, no litter etc

Our hotel was about a 10 minute walk into the town of Fuengirola. The taxis are cheap and plentiful. There is a good bus service, and the train is fantastic. People seem quite friendly with lots of English run bars and cafe's.
It's very reasonable to eat out and the prom along the front is great if you want to go for a long walk along the beach or just stroll.
There loads of the lucky lucky men, but they are very polite and don't try to push things on you.
All in all Costa del Sol is a nice place and easy to see why so many Brits have moved out there to live.

We very much enjoyed the resort as there was plenty of shops to look around and a large choice of cafes, bars, and restaurants.
The beach looked clean though the weather restricted its' use but the long walks along the "prom" up towards other resorts were really enjoyable.
The Fuengirola market on Sundays was also good fun as was our visits to other local resorts on market days.
The English timeshare sales reps were a pain and towards the end of the second week we got fed up of the street sellers wandering from cafe to cafe with watches, dvd's, etc when you were trying to eat your meal.
The coastal train is brilliant for visiting other resorts and our trip to Gibraltar was unforgettable.
BUT Do Not Use the footbridge between the Castle Beach Hotel and the Dunnes/Lidl stores complex - it is deadly especially after dark. We were attacked by six muggers with knives and were very very lucky to get away with our bodies and possessions in fact others in the Hotel were not so fortunate we later found out. I tried to help the police as I thought I recognised the leader but this then turned into a bit of a Spanish farce which ate into the last three days of our holiday.
The detective told us that the police were well aware of the threat posed by this bridge and had a fair idea of the thugs involved but they could not man up to sort out the matter once and for all. These thugs are no respecters of anyone and in our time there attacked a mother with her three children and a disabled man with his helper amongst others.
So enjoy your holiday in this resort but beware in this particular corner of it.
