All rooms face the pool or castle. Restaurants along the beach front are all very good and in the hotel if its just chips, burgers and pizza you want.
Whole cooked chicken from the skate park cafe was very nice to.

Ask for high floor, the view is fabulous.
Try La Tasca Andaluza restaurant; intimate, typically Spanish. Excellent menu of the day 8.50 euros; lots of choice, generous portions + complementary olives, bread and liqueur. Ying Ping also very good and reasonable.

My husband and I have been to Fuengirola several times and always find it enjoyable. It's not hilly like Benalmadena or Torremolinos and the town is a lot larger than it looks with plenty of shops to look round. There were many bars and restaurants, especially along the main promenade.
One noticeable thing was the amount of dog mess that was around, mainly in the back streets but sometimes on the promenade. There were several dog poo bins around but it was obvious that a lot of people didn't use them.
The railway station in Fuengirola is very handy for travelling along the coast to Benalmadena or Torremolinos. There's a new shopping, entertainment and eating complex near Malaga called Plaza Mayor which has a station so anyone wanting a day out can go from Fuengirola,
There was quite a lot of building work going on in the town with old buildings either being restored or knocked down for new apartment blocks to go up. The open land surrounding Fuengirola is also in the process of being covered with more and more apartment blocks so perhaps in a couple of years time the town will have got even bigger. There are some major road improvement schemes going on which should make it easier to get into and out of the area as well as making the roads more attractive.

I would recomend anyone our age (20+20) to head to Fuiengorola and ask to go to the strip beside the beach as this is where all the good clubs are we went to "24hr square" the first few nights but i found it very dirty in Benladema and not much going on.

BENALMADENA
Selwo Marina in Benalmadena is excellent, the kids will love it. Its like a very small Seaworld with Sealions and Dolphin shows etc.
Tivoli World is also an excellent night out, especially if you have kids are young at heart!!!! Its relatively cheap too, though we didn't go with the First Choice reps, we went independantly.
Benalmadena Marina is stunning, a beautiful Marina undescribable, you have to see it to appreciate it. However there are numerous people offering boat trips stating a visit to the Dolphins, this is not guaranteed. I would recommend going into Gibralter if you want a guarantee to see the Dolphins and its cheaper!
If you like Markets then head for Feungirola on a Tuesday morning, this Market is massive and remember to Barter!!!
If like us you fancy a taste of the Orient then head for the Water Margin, which is located down the hill by Barclays Bank - Centro Commercial near the hotel Triton.

We stayed at the Holiday Village so were a bus ride from both
Benalmadena and Fuengirola. They had good beaches and places to visit. There are plenty of lovely restaurents. Benalmadena has shops and restaurants on the front and a lovely marina and park. Fuengirola is a Spanish family holiday resort with a family feel. The Spanish have big family BBQ's on the beach till late.

Don't reckon much to Fuengirola, a bit seedy in places also watch out for timeshare scammers offering prizes, they hassle you on the street.Zoo is great though. Benalmadena nicer with a lovely park. We hired a car, do this in resort, cheaper than hotel, and had a day in Gibralter which was great, the apes are amazing and it's steeped in military history which my son loved. Also ridiculous duty free prices; £8 for 200 cigs, £5 a litre of spirits. Mijas is also wortha visit, really quaint old spain with a Fiesta

Benalmadena is a nice resort. The developement around the marina is very nice with lots of cafes and bars and resteraunts, creating a god atmosphere on an evening.
The beach is very good but very busy.
I would definetly go again to Benalmadena, staying in a hotel that is close to the beach and the resort centre.
