All rooms face the pool or castle. Restaurants along the beach front are all very good and in the hotel if its just chips, burgers and pizza you want. Whole cooked chicken from the skate park cafe was very nice to.

Ask for high floor, the view is fabulous.
Try La Tasca Andaluza restaurant; intimate, typically Spanish. Excellent menu of the day 8.50 euros; lots of choice, generous portions + complementary olives, bread and liqueur. Ying Ping also very good and reasonable.

The sundebds are very expensive at beach around 8 euros for bed/hammock. Go to end nearer macdonalds as u can get 2 beds for this, need to brush up on gypsies being a nusiance as many people were getting attacked by them stealing handbags/wallets.

Fuengirola itself is very nice. The beach is long and the streets around are all flat, (unlike Benalmadena or Torremolinos) There are plenty of restaurants and shops in the area as well as quite a bit of new building of apartments and hotels. The train from Fuengirola goes all the way to Malaga with plenty of stops along the way, including one at a place called Plaza Mayor near Malaga which has lots of shops and restaurants as well as cinemas, a 10 pin bowling alley and "dancing" fountains which would make a great day out away from Fuengirola.

The resort was clean and the beach of a high standard and not 'packed'. Entertainment was sparse but we were happy with this aspect as more lively entertainment was within access at Fuengirola. This is an area I would like to visit again.

Benamedena has a fantastic marina and plenty of bars and restaurants which you must visit in your stay at the Holiday village, beaches are clean but can get very crowded, our preference would be the beaches at fuengerola as they were slightly less crowded and ofered many water sports, becareful of big waves! Every tuesday there is a fantastic market in the town of fuengerola which according to the reps is a must to see, however we did go got up early to beat the cues and were greated with a 1960s fair in its place.
Well thats all form us hope you have a great time

We must say hi to Sharon Butler and her two daughters! hope your well make sure you vote for me on pop idol!

To walk to Fuengirola, it took us about 15-20 mins and that was only to the outskirts of it which is very run down although we did find an excellent restaurant called Los Cantaros which was first class and very resonably priced, to get to the busy area of fuengirola, known as fish alley, you need to take a taxi, and this is lovely for bars and restuarants but the taxi fares vary from driver to driver.Belamadena takes about 2 hours to walk, some of our party tried it one day,so is easiers to get to by taxi which only costs 10 euros with every driver and along the front it is lovely to stroll but beware of pickpockets and con artists especially girls giving you flowers for only 1 cent, she will end up dipping your purse ladies so dont let her even touch it,as i went into my purse to get a 1 cent she managed to empty it of my notes while i was holding it without me knowing, still cant understand how she managed it.Entertainment wasnt much to be desired in the resorts just seemed to be bars and restaurants.Another excellent restaurant in Belamadena was La Taberna, great food ,great service and three courses for only 11 euros each. The beach in Fuengirola was not nice at all, the sand was dirty looking and the sea had a sort of scum floating on it,I seemed to get bitten every time i was in fuegirola,Belamadena beach better.Do not waste money by going to the aqua park in Fuengirola,13.50 euros entry to a small and cramped waterpark where your kids arent allowed to were hats or t-shirts in even the small pools, essential items for fair skinned kids, the beach club at holiday village is excellent and is free, the kids will love it,adults- be sure to try out the over 18 jacuzzi on the top floor above the pirate ship, pure bliss.Tivoli World in Belamadena is worth a visit,go at night cos the lights give it a better atmoshpere.Great restuarants, plenty to do and see.All in all I loved the holiday village, it is just the resorts that let it down.

Our hotel was on the outskirts of Fuengirola, so quite a walk with 3 kids into centre each evening. Not bad walk there but be careful at night walking over bridge in the dark suppose to be gypies about but we didnt see any, use the large bridge by the Miramar shopping centre instead. Use the supermarket in the shopping centre or the Lidl much cheaper than the Dunnes store. Ten minute walk via underpass to Waterpark go early it gets busy. Enjoy your holiday!

The resort was very clean, no rubish on the floor, no muck what so ever. The Spanish like to keep Fuengirola very clean.

The resort entertainment was very good if you didn't like the entertainment at the hotel.

The beach was excellent, only the sand was red hot as one day the weather was 46 degrees but it was hot every day.
