All rooms face the pool or castle. Restaurants along the beach front are all very good and in the hotel if its just chips, burgers and pizza you want.
Whole cooked chicken from the skate park cafe was very nice to.

Try La Tasca Andaluza restaurant; intimate, typically Spanish. Excellent menu of the day 8.50 euros; lots of choice, generous portions + complementary olives, bread and liqueur. Ying Ping also very good and reasonable.
Ask for high floor, the view is fabulous.

Fuengirola is a lovely place to stay, with plenty to do. My family and I were very impressed with it. There are plenty of shops in town and also restuarants/bars. There is also a new shopping centre that has recently opened up which is quite big, called Myramar Commercial centre.
Now for the bars/restuarants and what ones to use. The best place we went in was deffinetly Percy's Bar. A lovely family own it and have done since October. They will make you feel very welcome and advise on places to go and stay. To be honest they made our holiday very special, so did their lovely children. The food there is also very good and you won't get better chips anywhere else. The regulars that visit the bar also make you feel welcome.
If you pop next door in the evening you will have a fantastic meal, can't remember the name of the place but its something like Bagabond. So it's Percy's during the day for food and Bagabond at night. We also found Jenna's to be a good place to eat but they wasn't very friendly, which was a shame. Friends is a great place to eat too. Most of the prices are pretty much the same, ranging from 5euros to 7euros for a main meal.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me in the questions/discussions section.

Fuengirola itself was pretty much ok. We hired a car so we tended to travel around quite a bit. Try taking a look at Torrelminos as this really surprised me how clean it was and the old town just a street back from the front is lovely to walk round.
An excellent time was had by all !

Fuengirola itself was reasonably quiet, there was always plenty of room on the beach, very flat and good for a comfortable stroll, disabled access fantastic, just avoid the timeshare touts! (which were numerous in the marina area).

Fuengirola is a typical spanish resort, with all the usual trapping Brits on holiday need. The hotel Yaramar where we stayed is in Los Boliches less than a mile from the center and for me is just right. It is very clean swept every day. the beach is also well kept and dotted along the beach are bars that grill fresh sardines that are wonderfull.Behind our Hotel Yaramar, are some very nice small bars and retaurants.Rustys Bar is a recomendation.Close to is your typical tapas bars. You must try them, great fun.More livly bars etc is no more than a 15 minute stroll. Enjoy.

This hotel is just outside fuengirola, but taxis are very cheap and are situated just in front of the shopping complex next door. The beach is fairly near once you risked your life walking over the motorway bridge!

There are much better places to go on holiday with your hard earned money than fuengirola. Trust me. Some parts of it look like beirut.

the location is ok. the beach does have alot of water sports and sun loungers so wether you want to just bathe or be adventerous, there is something for everyone. yes it is a fair walk to the beach (which is very rocky because it is man made due to a severe storm which wiped out the beach a few years ago) but we shouldnt be too bothered by walking a little on holiday as we dont do much else too strenuous whilst there!

Beach was swept by machines every second day or so and was spotless. As were the streets.
There are lots of cafes, serving anything from burgers and chips to a full dinner and all at resonable prices. The area is a little short on entertainment, but we were there in early season so perhaps thats the reason, high season could be different.
I would go back at any time, but perhaps a little later in the season, but an all round excellent resort with beutiful views over the bay. Just check out that sunset. take a walk along the prom, and enjoy!

I have been to all the resorts on the "Costa Del Sol" and I prefer Fuengirola to them all.
