All rooms face the pool or castle. Restaurants along the beach front are all very good and in the hotel if its just chips, burgers and pizza you want.
Whole cooked chicken from the skate park cafe was very nice to.

Ask for high floor, the view is fabulous.
Try La Tasca Andaluza restaurant; intimate, typically Spanish. Excellent menu of the day 8.50 euros; lots of choice, generous portions + complementary olives, bread and liqueur. Ying Ping also very good and reasonable.

Watchout for the stray dogs roaming around, & plenty of dog/cat mess on streets.
There is NO entertainment in the resort for children.
The Zoo is good. Waterpark good. Tivoli World OK.
Save money by using the train to visit the other resorts, cheaper than bus.
As per other reports 'Percy's Bar' soon to have a slight name change, is the best bar. A big shout HI to all there. Especially, 'Roy' who my children adored.The new owners & there 2 children r great so make sure u have a drink there to help them make a sucess of it.
IGNORE the towts IT IS ALL timeshare. U will not get any 'starprize' payout. BE FIRM WITH THEM.
'Buffet' Chinese meals good value.
If u r a family then GO to Benidorm instead. It offers far more for the family, is cleaner, cheaper, very geared towards families. We have been 4 times to 'Benidorm'& only tried 'Fuengirola' for a change. What a waste of time & money. Never again & never anywhere with Airtours. Back to 'Thompsons' far more professional company & reps.

Fuengirola was ok with a good Market and nice little zoo.
Has some shops, restaurants and bars but go to Benalmedena for nightlife.

Really liked Benalmadena as a resort. It felt really safe and had a nice selection of restaurants and bars. Plenty to do and we could have done with another week in the resort we liked it so much.

Fuengirola has lots of building work going on.Every where you looked there was a crane or an earthmover .It wasnt very clean and we were unimpressed with it ,however in the opposite direction is the resort of Benalmadena which was lovely,very pretty ,very spanish,very freindly people,the harbour is beautifull.We would definately go back to Benalmadena or to Torromolinos which was just a short train ride away.

Very clean area of Spain, much preferred to Benidorm. I have never been to the Costa del Sol but would definately go there again.

Beach was nice, weather was h-o-t :-D I would definitely like to revisit this resort but instead at Hotel Holiday Village. The resort had nothing but bars, restaurants and shops however - everything an old person needs. The heat exhausted me by the end of the day when I had no choice but to visit Benalmadena and Torremolinos for entertainment. Almost everything I bought had a fault with it which was totally annoying, especially when they don't give you receipts. Watch out for people offering false / fraud goods (these are mostly blacks or chinese but there are others who are doing this in the area. Their goods are just as faulty). However, nice appearance, great weather, plenty to do away from Fuengirola and plenty of miserable old people.

The resort was clean the entertainment was typically British i.e. Karoke, talent type shows. The beach although it had not got white fine sand, was lovely and long. It had a couple of things that I found great. A great wide promenade for walking. Plenty of showers for feet and decking if you wanted to wheel your buggy/ wheelchair onto the beach. I think I would visit this resort again as there are plenty of places to visit with great public transport. We did not get to see everything when we were there for 2 weeks and we did get out and about a bit. 2.36 euro to Marbella by bus, 85 cent to Mijas by bus, 2.50 euro to Benalamedena by train. Under 4's are free.

Lovely marina and the beach to the left hand of the town was great. However the beach on the right hand side of the town was very dirty (bottles and rubbish).

Love the area, good local transport to visit Mijas, Marbella and Gibraltar, lots of good bars, resturants and shopping.
Beware of timeshare sellers did have one nasty experience when a girl time share seller brought her moped on the pavement to shout at me. When I told her to go away and leave me alone she turned abusive and luckily at that point the shopkeeper told her to go before the police came.
