Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

A lot of good bars, although we did mainly stick to the English ones which may not suit everyone. Some bars were a bit pushy with lots of staff on the streets trying to get you through the doors, one in particular crammed you in so tight that we only stayed for one (very quick) drink. The George and Dragon was nice for a quiet drink and only 1.50E a pint of lager. Temple Bar was good for music. Lovely beach and promenade. Bike hire is 7E for 3 hours and there are a lot of cycle paths.

Quiet location suitable for families with small children.
The beaches are plentiful and the sea is very shallow so ideal for small children.

Salou was very clean, I could have been cruel and given a 4 for cleaniliness as there was sometimes a bit of rubbish about but my reason for giving 5 is because normally if you walked in the same area an hour later it was gone.
Constantly saw bin men going around and people sweeping the streets.
Spent some nights at Danny Boy, Christies and Raffertys but also visited quite a few Spanish bars.
The beach was extremely crowded and very clean, again people were picking up any litter and its cleaned every night by a tractor. Loads of play areas for kids the entire length of the beach. Beach also bordered by lovely prom with fountains.
Cost of eating out and drinking varied greatly but a pint seemed widely available for €1.50, you'll so the bars that are doing it for this price as they have the billboards outside.
An excellent stay in Salou and I will be returning next year.

The beach which was down the road from the hotel was lovely but the entertainment was basically kareoke every night and was more for children. I would never visit the ontario apartments again but i would definitely visit salou again but stay in a different hotel.

The resort was clean and lovely - the beach was a short walk from the hotel and the views were spectacular. The beach was clean, apart from the odd cigarette butt and the water beautiful and clean. Well worth a visit

finding your way around this resort was really easy i was supprised as to how easy it was for me to get around without getting lost like i did on my last holiday to Benidorm. did not go to the beach that oftem felt as tho the main beach was a bit far from our hotel.Dont know about good pubs ect as we stayed in the hotel most night for hottel Entertainment as that is where my girls wanted to stay but plenty of places to go and eat. Portaventura is a must to go if you love thrills we did not go on a lot of the rides but if that is your thing then this is the place to go buses really cheap and easy to get hold of

the resort of cap salou is hilly with some quite steep inclines to and from the various beaches\hotels but it is quite pretty too with abundant pinetrees and other greenery,it reminds me of the small resorts in menorca or majorca.bin men and street sweepers were plentiful and overall did a good job.had a bus ride into salou itself which was quite impressive with lots of street artwork and a combination of wide streets and 'promenade' linked by very leafy and shaded side streets.the beach is lovely and goes on for ever, lots of facilities for families with kids play areas dotted about and public toilets too.use the resort's regular road train to get between cap salou, salou, cambrills and port aventura theme park.it is an experience and not expensive.local buses are cheap and frequent.on the other side of the headland from salou is the resort of la penida.this, like salou itself is flat with open walkways and a glorious beach.good views of the shipping and port of reus if you like that sort of thing.
