Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

I thought certain parts of Salou is run down and the streets near to Snoopys, chaplins and Almonzo are a dump. However, the top area near to Happy Drinker is nice, as is the promenade fountain area. There is a lovely walkway into Cap Salou which is away from all the traffic. Been to Salou many times and the entertainment has always been good. Something for everyone. Particularly liked O'Connors. Brilliant bar staff and entertainment. Also liked the Temple bar. Huge glass of wine and a free shot which was really 3 in 1!! Beaches were superb.

salou is very much a family resort as its so close to port aventura and the water parks but definitly lacks on the cultural side of things but still a great base from where to see other beautiful places like barcelona tarragona etc. the promenade stretches for miles and miles and is a lovely place to walk with the kids in the evenings. we felt very safe there at all times and it has an abundance of shops for the shopaholic!! public transport is very cheap and efficent and easy to manage. the beach is very clean and the swimming very safe. bars and restaraunts of every variety to choose from and not overly priced. wouldnt like to be there high season as the crowds and the ques would be inbearable.

Not a lot to do in Cap Salou. Need to walk about 30mins to get into Salou itself. Regular bus service to everywhere outside hotel.

Salou is a fantastic place to visit, we found a few great night spots but our favourite was Raffertys Irish Pub,it is so friendly and the staff are brilliant especially Mario. Portaventura is amazing it is a must. We went on an excursion to Barcelona fantastic, what a great day out.

Resort very clean, plenty of entertainment in the evening and will go back again.

Clean resort with still plenty goin on. Port Aventura a definite bonus. Lovely beach deserted one day but once the sun came back out the die hards were there soaking up the sun with plenty of loungers and parasols available if you wanted them.
This is our second visit to the resort and I would still go back again.
