Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

Salou is great for families, there are no loud banging nightclubs, the bars allow children and there are lots of amusements to entertain them.
The beach was clean although it was a little bit cramped, excellent playground facilities for children.
I would definately visit Salou again.

We found the resort La Pineda really nice and clean, with plenty of shops and restaurants.
We did visit Salou which was very busy and a word of warning, watch your bags as I had a bad experience with a pick pocket.
Pineda beach was lovely and cleaned daily. We would definitely go back to La Pineda but not Salou centre.
We would recommend the resort to anyone with children as there is plenty do.
We visited Aquapolis it was great the kids loved it.

Salou was very clean with long golden sandy beaches. The town centre was busy with lots to do and many cafes and bars.
Puerta Ventura theme park was ace with loads to do for all the family, It is wortwhile visiting Aquopolis water park which is just a short bus journey away in La Pineda.

The beach is very clean.we first went to salou in 1994 and the beaches have improved greatly.The resort is clean and has loads of shops ,wacth out for the sport shops trying to rip you off with fake football shirts.All in all we had a great holiday at salou and would go back agian to the same hotel.

Salou was reasonably clean but could do with all of the paths being re-laid!! Every other building is a shop selling mainly the same things over and over.
If you want good entertainment every night then go to tenerife!! Most of the entertainment were quizzes or competitions, chaplins had some good acts though. The beach was very crowded but kept clean and tidy.

THis is by far the cleanest resort I have ever been to! There are big bins in the streets that are usually full by the end of the day, but it's better that they're in the bins than on the street. THe streets were always clean, no vandalism either. The long promenade that stretches for miles, lined with palm trees with the beach running along it is def a photo opportunity. Salou has everything you could want - and every kind of food you could want you can get in the many restaurants. The majority fo the staff in the bars and restaurants speak English so there's no language problems. Port Aventura was great, we went at the start of September and the longest we queued was 5 minutes. But tickets for Port Aventura before you go- lots of pubs have promos where if you buy a certain drink you can get a 2 for 1 voucher for the park. Burger King were also doing this too. The buses are great and very regular and cheap. We went to the aquapolis water park in La pineda which is 5 mins away, there's loads of rides, space to sunbathe and then an amazing dolphin and sea lion show which is unmissable. Nightlife is mostly pubs and children can stay in them until 130am so for adult night life it doesn't start til about then but still a great atmospere up and after then. Def reccommend Salou to anyone of any age!!!

Salou is well placed for trips to Barcelona, by train, approx 10 euro return - and trains run to time!!! Journey time approx 1hr 15mins. Tarragona approx 10 mins by train.
Beach was cleaned every night. The sea front and promenade were also very clean.
Plenty of discos, bars in the busier town.
All in all a brilliant holiday - would only use Regina Hotel on a return visit. We did visit other hotels for comparison. Many thanks Regina Hotel.

The resort itself is lovely.
A good beach, a lovely long promenade with a fountain display at either end.

Did not like Salou - a lot of tack. Take a walk along the front to Cambrills - it's a different world.

Lovely resort, lots of shops, pubs and restaurants nice just to wander around. Beachfront is lovely lots of fountains and sculptures; beach is clean, nice sand, warm water, play areas for kids all along the beach. Resort is near Port Aventura and Aqua Polis (great day for kids!),
Barcelona and Tarragona are worth a visit.
Excellent resort and base for exploring the Costa Daurada.
