Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

Salou is a great place with lots of things to do ie swimming, bars, horse riding and shops galore.
There is so much entertainment at night that you are spoilt for choice.
I would love to live there

Salou catered for all our parties needs...lots of bars and the water park was great.I'd recommend a trip to beautiful Barcelona.

Resort was excellent reps helped us out, Emma even took us down into Cap Salou to show us round!

The resort has a lovely beach with plenty of sun loungers, lifeguards are on duty at regular intervals along the beach.
There is a water park in the centre of the resort, which seemed to be busy most days.
La Pineda is approx 15 minutes from Universal Mediterranea Theme Park and easily accesible by local bus.
There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the resort, shopping isn't very good. It is full of shops selling the usual tourist tat!
La Pineda is approx 5 minutes in a taxi from Salou, we visited Salou one evening and would not go back. The beach front area was lovely but away from that it was jam packed with bars and the usual tourist shops and didn't look very clean.
Barcelona is easily reached either by bus from La Pineda or train from Salou and is well worth visiting, a beautiful city.
In La Pineda the Waterfront Bar a 1 minute walk from the Estival Park Apartments was excellent, great food, friendly staff and excellent service.
We would defintely return to La Pineda and the Estival Park Apartments and would recommend them to anyone.

I didn't give the beach a high standard but its just because i'm not a beach person but it was a clean beach!!
The entertainment was great the reps made the young and the old have a great time. I hope to be going back to the resort this year again.

Salou has something for everyone, whether its a family, couple or group holiday. The beach is gorgeous, has a great selection of shops (more than we got around!). Everything from clothes to jewellery to cds and your average toursisty shops, lots of bars and restaurants.
The theme and waterpark is close by. You are never lost for something to do during the day and if you're looking for a good nightlife (as we were) there lots of great bars and niteclubs in Salou centre. Charlie Chaplins and Snoopys are great spots! Again, id reccommend it to anyone.

Resort is busy on main street plenty of shops etc Promenade is excellent worth a visit a night, Theme park is a must but buy tickets before going allow 2 days to see it.
The wally train is only 2.50 well worth a run easiest way to see the resort.
In conclusion a good holiday, when I go back I will be booking the San Diego

The resort is great for familes with loads of shops, places to eat, pubs and entertainment bars with good quality entertainment especially Charlie chaplins with 2 or 3 very different shows per night. Also kids are always welcome but you are warned that entertainment is adult orientated and there are some naughty words used by some of the acts.
The resort has two beaches one is very long and extremely busy with loads of watersports the other small not to busy and very relaxing.
Salou has Universal studios theme parks Port Aventura and Costa Caribe on its doorstep. Port Aventura is great equal to or if not better than Euro disney Paris. With great rides like the dragon khan and 1st class shows not forgeting the midnight spectacular fireworks and light show making this park brilliant. We stayed for 2 weeks and got a 2 week pass for the park and it got used very well!!
Dont try and do the park in one day its to big and you will be rushed enjoy the rides and see the shows they are all great especialy the bird show (with no chessy flags or puzzles)and the wild west show (tip. Its much better at night).
