Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

Pineda had little to offer and certainly not much for children compared to the facilities Salou offers ten minutes down the road. Not a resort I would chose to holiday in again and beware of the taxi drivers who seem to charge what they like. of the three families who travelled one was charged 30 euros from the airport, one 35 and one forty. we all had differing prices for travel to the theme park as well so ask how much before you get in the taxi.

Very nice and plenty to do for every age. The beach was very crowded however, so we spent most of our days by the hotel pool.

Lovely beach gently sloping into the sea . Not a good move eating from the beach bars , burgers cooked straight from frozen in the microwave and still cold in the middle.
A lot quieter than salou and better for it.
We would stay in this area again either here or in Cambrils which also impressed us

The resort is called Cap Salou and location of the hotel was not too bad, there is very little around that area, you have to get a bus or the little train into Salou which is right outside the hotel. The resort/hotel pictures in the brochure must be years old and are nothing like the area it is now, it is now surrounded by other highrise hotels, extremely close together. The minimarket is just around the corner from the hotel but quite expensive.
If you walk down and around the hotels you will find a few bars and a couple of restaurants which are well worth a visit.
We also found a small beach, which was not bad, not too crowded either, we paid 4 euros each for a sunbed and they charge an extra 5 euros if you want to sit under the shade. Pedlos boats can be hired there for £10 euros for one hour. There is a resurant and bar on the beach and it was very reasonable.

There is alot of stuff to do in this resort there are alot of shops by day and by nite there are alot of pubs and clubs
Thre are plenty of restaurants if you want to eat out.
The beach is very clean and has a great range of watersports for those who like that sort of thing.

I found Salou too built up with many old hotels looking like they needed a lick of paint. Although the promenade was kept very clean, there was lots of graffiti on the walls, lots of ignorant spanish who would only smile after you had tipped them, with maniacs on the road including the taxi drivers. The beach was far too crowded for my liking so we decided to stay around the hotel pool which had sand around. There were many bars and shops, but we preffered our hotel entertainment to anything Salou had to offer. In my opinion you either like it or you don't, and we did't.

Salou is a brilliant resort to either visit or stay in. With Port Aventura theme park only 1 km and a 10 minute walk away from the middle of Salou. There is lots to do and see in Salou with a selection of pubs and restraunts some suited for familys.

Salou was wonderful, fountains everywhere you look! The resort was clean and I particulary liked the range of restuarants, there was many different styles of food which I enjoyed. There is a nice pedestrian shopping walkway which can get crowded but not very bad. The beaches get very crowded but there always seems to be a little space. Lots of very load areas but lots of quiet areas too. Very accessable to other resorts and taxis are very cheap, easy to walk to Port Aventura, but a taxi only costs 6€ (£4), lovely big market on Sundays in a near resort we decided to go on our own, the taxi cost us 14€, to book with some place would of cost 17€ each, this way we got to pick our own times too and it only cost us 28€ insted of 68€

Salou was nice, but very busy at weekends, A must is the theme park, well worth the money, fireworks at the end of the night were out of this world. We were close to a small cove, where the beach was very clean and the sea nice and warm.Shops all sold the same stuff.
A must is to see the lovely Fountain in the centre of Salou, especially at night when it is lit up, and it keeps changing patterns, but beware not to close as you will get soaked.
It was a quick transfer from Reus Airport to hotel, we used Taxi costing us 30 Euros for the four of us, but again beware the drivers are Crazy.
