Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

The resort was very nice and cleanliness was not a real problem. There was some rubbish in the street from refurbished hotels and dustbins lined part of the street although these and the samll amounts of rubbish were collected a least evey other day.
The resort has great entertainment for all ages and the staff at the bars and restaurants were extemely nice and were great with young children. Some also provided offers such as "happy Hour" which was great value. Alot of hte bars also had pool tables which provided extra entertainment for all ages.
The beach was beautifully clean and umbrellas and sun beds and were available for rent as were pedalos and there was cafes and ice cream shops close by to provide cool refreshements when needed.
I wolud definately visit the resort again.

The resort seems to be getting a little worn down now, and it seems that the people who used to clean the streets every single night last year are now part time. Entertainment varied from pub to pub it just depends what you are looking for. Plenty of places doing quizes and karaoke but you will also find family bars with games for the kids, like the rovers return. Although i have put yes to:(would i visit this resort again). I would because it is an ideal resort for families, but i will not be visiting again for quite some time because i am bored of the resort this being our 4th visit. But i will sure miss going to Port Aventura. The beaches were very tidy and the beach never seemed to be over full with people. And it is nice to see all the lifeguards on the floating platforms about 150 meters off shore.

Salou is the best family holiday no matter what age you or children are the entertainment is excellent the must go bars are charlie chaplins, kiss, hollywoods and jugglers for the little one. port aventura and the water park are a must and the beach is brilliant

salou is a brilant place for the whole family as they have pubs and clubs for all ages and you also have the theme park which we were in every day and never once got fed up

From a visit to Salou four years ago there has been an obvious decline in the upkeep of the resort. With a considerable increase in your typical stag/hen parties and touts pushing bars, we felt slightly uneasy outside the Hotel in the evening.
On a couple of occasions we were short changed in bars and when out on the tourist train bus, the conductor did not give us one of the tickets saying he had run out and he would give us it later.

the resort of salou was very clean and presentable, the beaches were very clean too, and not overcrowded as i first imagined, resot entertainment was ok, but could have been better, i would love to visit again as there was so much to do!.

Salou has three good features;
1) Beautiful clean shallow beach full of activities like aerobics, play areas, gym, volleyball
2) Port Aventura
3) It's close to Barcelona
Other than that its full of rubbishy tourist tat shops and graffiti and wonky broken pavements. I would not return to Salou.

Salou what can I say - Blackpool in the sun sums it up. If you want lucky, lucky men hounding you/cheap tat shops and listen to ambulance sirens all day this place is for you! Beach is good, but packed. Only good thing is the promenade nice walk. My advice, go to Cambrils, more spanish less commercialised, beach is quieter albeit a little rocky.
