Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

Beaches

The place was very clean with plenty of places to eat, things for everyone to do, from kids, to teens, to the older generation and the beach also provided a lot of things to do. I would definitely come here again, only I would go with a different studio.

A quiet alternative to Salou. Very pretty in parts though the steep hills may prove difficult for some.
Local transport is low priced and regular if you want to go in Salou itself or nearby resorts or beaches. Being a quieter area eating places and bars are limited but all of a very high standard, good food reasonably priced and loads of entertainment if you have children with you. We would certainly return here.

This resort appeals to all ages, excellent theme and water parks and very accessible to alot of other interesting places, like Tarragona for Roman ruins etc, Cambrils, fishing village, and also Barcelona. Main beaches very packed but also quite a few smaller beaches which are less busy. Lots of places to eat and entertainment of all sorts available.

Our first visit to the resort, enjoyed it very much, especially the weather after the summer we've had here in the Uk, the beaches were excellent. Will go back one day.
Port Adventura a must if you've got kids, and the different shows in the theatres of the park were excellent.

Salou is a good family resort. It has clean bits and dirty bits, but it feels safe and we felt welcome.
There's entertainment to suit most tastes, and you've got PortAventura just up the road. For a bit more culture, Barcelona's only an hour away and Tarragona's even closer. PortAventura is the jewel in the crown and the Costa Caribe water park is excellent too.
The beach is superb and well organised. The sand is great for castles and the water is fine for kids. There are also plenty of showers and play areas along the beach, and a big first aid station if you need it. The promenade is great at night, with the dancing fountains and there's a fantastic climbing frame on the beach near the marina.
We will definitely return to Salou, but we'll wait until our kids have reached the magical 1.40m they need to be to get on the big rides at PortAventura.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants, serving dishes from all over the world.
The beach is clean, but does get very crowded especially at weekends. There are swings and climbing frames scattered along the beaches so children can do something else if they start to get bored.

beach is beautiful there are lots of little play parks along the edge of it and summer seats to sit on while children play there is also a beautiful fountain at the end. the resort itself is not clean full of smelly bins and dog dirt and broken pathments entertainment is fine though bars in hotels are very expensive

We did the walk one day to Salou and back and although its a bit of a climb (both ways strangely) its very picturesque and worth doing as it takes you along the beach front.
The beaches are far better at Cap Salou than the long over populated beach at Salou and the surrounded by construction work beach at La Pineda.
Port Aventura park is brilliant, don't take your buggy, hire the double one at the park (7.50 euros) as it has plenty of room for two kids with a shade and helps to carry all your stuff.
The Aquapolis water park in La Pineda was very good and has lots more suitable water rides for small children than Caribe.
The undoubted spoiler for the whole area is Grafitti and litter. A lot of the litter is discarded leaflets further evidence of people refusing to use bins.
Be aware that children under 4 travel free on the buses, drivers please themselves whether they charge you for under 4's unless you point it out to them.
Good news for golfers, Port Aventura are in the process of building three eighteen hole golf courses between Cap Salou and Salou which you will see on the bus trip they are due to open in 2008.
