Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

What a pucker resort it had everything there even a large McDonalds. Great shops and bars, the beach gets absolutley packed there are sun beds and shades you can hire. Jet ski's, banana boat and pedalo's. Arobics in the morning. the whole resort was very clean and all the shops have very friendly staff that don't pressure you.

Cap Salou was a small resort away from the bustle of Salou however you could get there quite easy by either walking, using a bus taxi or the tourist train. I would recommend the tourist train nice for kids also does not get as busy as the buses
There a several bars and restaraunts in the resort we found the paddock to be the best for food and the crows nest for entertainment.
There are 2 beaches outside the hotel one both quite good and clean but we opted for the smaller one which had a better beach, there is also a cove behing the hotel which is accessed by several steps however this has no beach bar etc for drinks.
You must go to Portaventura, buy your ticket before you leave and get 14 days if possible, this give you a lot more options, I bought mine on line through attraction tickets and they only cost 46 for each adult well worth the money. I would advise anyone to visit the themepark once during the day to get your bearings then go after 6pm as the rides are much quieter and also a lot cooler. Make a special trip just to see the fireworks because if you try to have a full day at the park and attempt to see the fireworks the kids will either be asleep or too tired to appreciate the display

The resort is very dirty. rubbish piled up on every corner and bins overflowing. Lots of grafitie everywhere. Full of spanish holidaymakers - dont go to this resort if you are looking for a english style of resort as there are not that many british bars - although will mention "Uncle Sams" which is the best bar/restaurant in the whole place and well worth a vist.
The beach is good, kept very clean although by 11am you'd be hard pushed to see a grain of sand for all the spanish crowdered on it.
We would definately not visit this resort or hotel again!!
Viva Majorca!!!!!

I have been to Salou before and found it great their is something for every one. The theme park is great no matter if you dont enjoy big rides.
It is worth going to just for the shows. There are 2 small cove beaches and one large main beach. When we went to the beach the waves were always huge so if you have small children you really need to watch them. The beach is lovely and clean plenty to do they have every thing banana boats etc
Their are plenty of shops etc
The big plus for me was being so close to barcellona and all that this has to offer. their is never time to get bored.
You have great bus and train services.
one of the bus companys offers orrginsed trips to barcelona for a varity of diffrent things to name a few the nou camp the zoo etc they are very well organised and very cheap in comparison to the tour companies. They also pick you up and drop you of at convinant places

Cap Salou is a relaxing chilled out resort. If you're wanting a more livelier night you've got Salou itself, only a bus ride away or La Pineada , which has quite a few places to eat. Cambrils which is just past Salou is a lovely (expensive) shopping & eating place. Wouldn't mind a holiday here actually!!!

salou itself is abeautiful place the beach is very clean and a variety of watersports to do lots of shops and also it is very clean some of the tours seem to be expensive so shop around we also got a phonecard from the rep for 10 euros to ring home much cheaper and easier then trying to use the payphones all in all a very nice place but i dont think we will be going back any time soon

Salou itself is very clean, the walk to the centre is pleasant and there are a few good bars to stop and have a beer at, if you look for them you can find decent restaurants with good spanish and sea food. Shopping is dissapointing for the ladies as the selection is quite limited, for the men this is heaven sent. The market on a monday is ok but again apart from the spice stalls, cookware and leather stalls pretty poor quality. Don't be afraid to haggle and walk away, they will come after you and a deal will be struck they just start with sometimes ridiculous prices.
We would go again and we would use the siest exec lodges as a base for our next holidays.

We really liked the resort of La Pineda and would recomend it to families. The resort was clean and the supermarket we used was well stocked. The beach was nice and sandy and there are plenty of ice cream huts. There is a very good water park called Aquapollis in La Pineda. The Universal theme park, Port Aventura, situated in Salou is excellent, we also enjojed the Caribe Aqutic park. We would certainly return to this resort.
