Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

The resorts cleanliness was satisfactory, the streets were always clean and you always saw the road sweepers out cleaning at night time but the only thing that put me off were the bins at the outside of the hotels, they were outside every hotel! And they stank but i didnt let it get me down!
The entertainment in the resort is brilliant, go to all the clubs they are brilliant, we went to Kiss and Crocs, the best clubs there!
I had been to Salou before and the beach then was beautiful, but this time i went it wasnt so. I think it was because there was overcast that day and it was bunged! I didnt like sunbathing because there was strangers lying on loungers right beside you. But we sorted that by getting a paddling boat.
I would definately visit this resort again its beautiful the poeple are just so nice. We went to Cambrillis for a day but it was too quiet so were glad we were staying in Salou!

the resort was good near plenty of shops, pubs, and resturants didnt have to walk far there was something on in different pubs to suit everbody.u had a good 15mins walk to the small beach.but its well worth the walk we spent most of our time there.beach was spotless.there is also the main beach but its further away.i would probably go back but to a different hotel.the main attraction in salou is the theme park was great well worth buying u tickets on the net b4 u go it works out alot cheaper.

The resort was dirty and smelled quite bad at times in some areas. The entertainment at the Victoria was good fun and it was just over the road from the hotel.Beware of pick pockets and muggers at night, they whistle at you to get your attention!watch out! The Texas embassy served good homecooked food, we ate there most nights as the hotel food was rubbish and inedible. The beach at Playa larga was nice, more secluded and not so crowded as the other main beaches, could have been cleaner though, the water was lovely!
There is no way I would pay to visit this hell hole ever again, but the visit to Barcelona was amazing, brilliant day!

We did not like Salou at all. It is advertised as quite a family friendly resort but we would not take another holiday in it even if it was free. Feels basically like a large Spanish town/city with a beach. Thought it was dirty, tacky and full of Spanish teenagers at night. We used public transport to get back to Cap Salou always bunged and full of rough kids.
Cove at hotel is not good at all. Cap Salou itself is so tiny. Few bars/restaurants, supermarket that's it. We really liked Mickeys bar and spent alot of time there.
Drink is sooo cheap and some entertainment on.
We had bought a weeks pass to Port Aventura but even after second visit there we were quite bored. Visited the park 5 times as we found Salou unsuitable for famalies. Much prefer Fuerteventura and Majorca

The streets of salou were a bit litter cluttered and to be honest with the uneven pavements our prams suspension was put to the max to overcome these obstacles.
We went to the beach in salou for one day but it was mobbed. The kids struggled to find me on the beach, when they were in the water. Fairly clean until you go to the rocky edge where the debris collects i.e. used condoms, bags etc. So stay in the middle section.
we got the bus to cap salou as we heard the beach there was good. it was fantastic and quiet and i could actually go in the water with the kids and still see my belongings.
there was little coves and the kids loved collecting the fish and crabs. we went quite a few times.

The beach is pretty standard as sapnish beaches go - loungers and parasols for hire - reasonably priced! pedalos and jet skis also.
plenty of bars and restaurants in the area. nice to sit in the restaurants at the beach front in the evening.
Theme park - Portaventura excellent. Also Caribe water park highly recommended - excellent wave pool! Great fun!

We stayed in Salou the beach was clean plenty of water sports and swings and play arears for the younger children.
You can take a boat trip to Cambrils which is very nice and would recommend it.
We visited Portaventura with plenty of thrilling rides and shows and a firework display every evening at midnight during the summer months. Next to Portaventura is costa caribe water park.
Would also recommend a visit to Aquopolis water park in nearby La Pineda which has plenty of slides and you can even swim with a sealion and watch a dolphin show.
The nearby city of Tarragona is well worth a visit to look at the roman ruins, there are also plenty of shops.

some parts of the resort seemed a bit old and run down but others fairly new.
there were lovely places to eat nearby with entertainment;
The lazy wave.
this place gave free deserts with meals played games karaoke shows bingo and the food was lovely.
The titanic.
this had 2 menus one restaurant side with massive portions of the best food ever and a snack menu with baguettes etc which were v good. they had bingo, shows and singers and acts nightly and right near dorada palace.
there were mny places to eat and drink.
the beach was lovely and clean with snack bars for drinks all situated on the sand at regular places.
there were loads of shops from market type to a lacoste shop etc selling everything you could imagine.
the resort catered for all ages and tastes and we found it to be perfect for all of us ranging from small kids teenagers and adults.
port aventura was brilliant. we purchased in advance a 14 day unlimited ticket which gave us all freedom to come and go as we pleased and our teenagers would spend some evenings there.
we found this a brilliant holiday with everythi g you wanted close at hand and something for everyone.
