Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

Found resort to be extremely clean, Port Aventura and Costa Caribe excellent value for money, but buy you tickets before you go! Entertainment for night time not as good as Playa D'en Bossa in Ibiza for kids but nevertheless still found plenty to do.

La Pineda is a little way out of Salou, but has regular bus service,.......we also visited Cambrils which is lovely.
A trip was taken to the Bazcelona football stadium, and our grandson was very proud to have his picture taken holding the european cup.
There are lots of shops, bars and restaurants and they all make children welcome.

We picked salou solely on the basis that it was near barcelona and also wanted a relaxing holiday. We were very pleased, loads to do, the beach is fab and the promonade running from Salou to Cambrils with its cycle path is fantastic, we rented bicycles and cycled, its very safe. Also loads to do for teenage children, the Beach at La Pineada is fantastic for body boarding and you can hop on a bus and go from cambrils to salou to la pineada. Before this holiday my kids hated the beach, now they love it.

This is our second holiday to Salou and wont be our last. The resort is clean with lots to do especially if you have a young family. Beach is very nice and public transport is very easy to use, frequent and cheap. Very close to other resorts and ofcourse PortAventura which must be visited!

As I booked this holiday at the last minute I did not choose the resort, if I could have chosen the resort I would have preferred somewhere more lively and where there were less children.
I did however really enjoy the hotel the area and the best food in Cap Salou would definitely be the two minute walk to the paddock.

Cap Salou is much quieter and smaller than salou but it still has plenty to offer.
Its not too roudy or crowded which is great to know if you have children.the beach is cleaned in the mornings but the sun loungers tend to go so get there early.
The water is shallow and is great for the kids and adults to go snorkling. I think I would visit this resort again and if i did would probably stay in the same hotel.

We were 15min from Portaventura a must for familys. The beach is clean and does have lifeguards but can get busy.
There are also 2 waterparks (caribe,aquapolis)and go-karts and many other excursions if required.
