Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

Beaches

The resort is very tourist friendly. The beach is very clean and has plenty of watersports to choose from if you get easily bored of lying on the beach all day. Entertainment in salou is very varied. From pub quiz's, parrot shows, bingo, clubbing and quiet little pubs for a more relaxed night. Salou has something for everyone.

good clean beaches with sunbeds and parasols readily available to hire. also many childrens playgrounds on and beside beach.
lots of restaurants of every type you could possibly want with many family bars offering entertainment or sports on tv
easy to get about using the road train or plana buses
perfect resort for families maybe not so much for couples

In Cap Salou there's nothing really to do, Salou itself is only five minutes away in a taxi (6 euros)which is better. Plenty of shops, bars and places to eat and a lovely clean beach.

Salou : It is really Blackpool in the sun, which we knew before travelling. We found some good places to eat mainly pub grub but OK for a week but we would recommend the following:
Danny Boys (Irish Bar) - entertainment every night but doesn't start until 11pm - Staff there are excellent and friendly. Food was excellent!!
Ye Old Brown Cow - Salou's oldest pub! Food was good, very home cooked feel to everything!! Staff were brilliant. Toilets could do with a revamp!
Uncle Sam's (American Diner) - we were recommended this from a Barmaid. Although the food itself was very nice, we had a 40 minute wait for a table and once your meal is finished they are definately rushing you out the door for the next table to be set up!! Don't go if you prefer a long leisurely dinner, it will not happen here. However, we would highly recommend a visit!!
Linda's Bar - A small bar on the way to the hotel. Very nice breakfast, happy hour every night (2 for 1, friendly staff!!
Theme Park - This was the real reason for our 2nd visit to Salou as our daughter was now able to experience all the rides!! We would definately say you should purchase your tickets from the UK. Try www.keithprowsetickets.com or www.portaventura.es they are offering 14 days for the price of 3 £46.00 per adult.
Unfortunately, we didn't do this and we paid 35€ each on the door, we tried to pay by credit card but as we didn't have our passports they refused to accept this, luckily we had our bank cards and were able to life money from the cash machine on site, but who would take their passport to a theme park??
Park itself has not changed in the last 6 years apart from some extra rides, but it is really a great day for all the family even if you don't like rollercoasters there are good shows in all the areas in the park. Food was very good and reasonable priced.
The new ride in the Mexican area - Hurakan Conder - is fantastic, you climb 328 feet and experience a 282 feet drop, Unbelievable!!

The beach was absolutely beautfiful there wasn't much entertainment around. But Salou town was only 5mins away on the bus. Bus drivers seem to charge what they want 1 day it was 2.40 for 2 to go to town the next day it was 3!
