Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

The resort is very suitable for families. Public transport on the doorstep, Beach very clean and safe, Plenty of stalls and shops for souvenirs and groceries.
La Pineda is not full of Tall blocks of flats. It is well spaced out with lots of Palm trees lining the streets. Fountains and sun seats are plentiful . Very picturesque. Aquapolis is not to be missed for kids of all ages.

Salou is a lovely place to visit, much bigger than we had expected with a very nice beach area. The resort seemed very clean. Along the promenade are park areas for the young ones as well as public toilets which always seemed to be clean. Also showers were plentiful.
The resort had plenty of places to eat, we never had a bad meal and we did try several. Plenty of bars too both continental and british. There is something for everyone.
Then we move on to Portaventura. We had 14 day passes and managed to go 7 times, just for a few hours each time. It was brilliant and really made our teenagers holidays. Great rides and shows. The food wasn't too bad either, not badly priced and plenty of choice. The longest we waited was 30 minutes but most of the time we got straight onto the rides. Watch out for the local school kids though, they do insist on pushing in and can also be rude. One stole my grandaughters (7 months) teddy, she pretended to fall onto the pushchair and took the teddy out of my grandaughters hands.
Finally we visited Aquapolis waterpark, it was great. It was 21.50euros to get in for the day which included a sealion and dolphin show. The slides etc were brilliant. The only downside was the food. The queue's were huge, our friends waited 2 hours to get 2 pizza's. The slides themselves were about a 10 minute wait, depending on what one you went on. You can hire rings at 6euros a time, you also had to pay 6euros deposit for each one, the loungers were the same. We didn't pay for them and managed to get on all the rides ok, they supplu some, it just means you will have to wait for one in a queue, I guess in the summer this may be a problem and you could be waiting a while but we didn't have any problems.
Enjoy Salou, we did.

The resort of Salou wasn't the best i've been to, it had all the things you need on holidays, bars, shops, supermarkets, chemists, clothes shops. I found some of the locals very rude but you get that everywhere, it wasn't very clean in places and was lacking in quality restaurants but has plenty of fast food restaurants. The beach was lovely and clean and that is where we thought the restaurants were best, the ones over looking the beach. I would go back to this resort to go to the Portaventura Theme Park and the water park.

The resort was very clean as we did not think it would be in Spain.
The weather was very hot everyday. Beaches were lovely and plenty of it. Would go back but would have to have a very good recommendation on the hotel before I booked it .

The beach front of La Pineda was very clean. Beach also very clean. Resort has several restaurants, shops and two entertainment parks (water park and theme park).
Only 15 mins walk from our appartment it was a very pleasant area with palm trees and grassed areas.
There is a clean toilet on the beach and a beach bar. there is a regular bus service every 15 mins or so. I would go again but to a different apartment.

The resort is just outside of salou and it makes a major difference in the pace of life. This is a lot quieter but a lovely place to stay. There are all the amenities needed. The beach is nice and well maintanined with huts selling drinks and food at reasonable prices.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two week holiday in Salou - the facilities are excellent for all ages. Our children loved all the mini playgrounds on the beach and we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the area in general. We had a pass for the Port Adventura and loved the firework display at night. Having visited in May with lots of sunshine and the atmosphere lovely, calm and relaxing we were very impressed with what Salou had on offer and will gladly return in the future.

Salou used to have a bad reputation (some people may say it still has), but this is a shame as its a great place to go. It is very clean and there is lots to do, plenty of pubs and restaurants.
The beach front is one of the nicest i have ever seen. Port aventura is a MUST, it was amazing.
