Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

the resort was very busy with a lot of things going on , with a young family we found it much hard work pushing buggys around so we mostly stayed in the hotel in the night

We have stayed in Salou for the past 3 years and always found the resort itself clean and relaxed. We have ventured out late at night and never felt threatened.
The promenade is free fromlitter as they have litter picking police keeping it that way all day long. The beach has nice sand and the water is clear. Ample shops,pubs and restaurants.
A good bus and small train service takes you from most hotels to neighbouring La Pineda and Cambrills and reasonably priced. Salou centre has a 24 hour Medical Centre and a pharmacy for any emergencies.

cap salou is a quite square made up of a few bars and restaurants.but is really good fun for children as there are rides and trampolines etc.salou itself is about a 20 min walk easily reached by bus or small train.i found salou to be quite busy.great for adults at night too busy if you have kids.lots of shops.

The hotel is located between Salou and Cambrils. Public transport is excellent - cheap and reliable. Salou is only 5 minutes by bus and Cambrils is 10 minutes away.
Salou is a lively tourist centre with all the usual tourist attractions while Cambrils is a lovely old fishing village.
It was great to see so much space on the beach every day and you certainly will have no problem looking for a spot on the beach in this resort as most people stick to the pools in the hotels.

Cap Salou is a very small suburb of Salou. Beach not good although better ones in Salou and Pineda etc well worth the bus ride for good beach!

i went to salou in june 2006 very hot beach nice but busy lots of shops in salou all selling the same goods, went to barcelona on the train takes 1 hour 15 minutes cost was good 10 euro return, it is a bit like blackpool in the sun in salou

Nice beaches, plenty to do at night for kids in Salou.Theme Park great, but beware, busy during day. Go at night when it open till midnight. Dont expect too many rides for little uns though. Dragon Khans great, no queues after 7pm. Dont expect them to let you on though if you are slightly rounded!

Salou is ok lots of gift shops and the like, bars good if you go eating out fairly cheap meal for six with drinks came to about 45/55 euros visit the following for good food Treasure island,the paddock.and smugglars.
If you like a good laugh you must try the jeep safari and take some water pistols,if you traveling with little one give portaventura a miss height limits on all rides and not many fun fair ones for the little ones if you do go there hold on to your wallet pickpockets about.
Le pineda water park brill and so is the Dolphin show all in english so you know whats being said.
Salou is about a 10 minute bus ride away and only 1.70 euros each way little ones get on for nothing.
All in all not abad place as i said this was our fisrt time abroad as a family so not able to compare withother places, yes we would visit here again.

We have visited salou many many times, and each time we go back we are never disappointed. We seem to have a different holiday each time.We have never had a problem with the resort cleanliness, entertainment is good. The beach is excellent. We are going back to salou in july 2007
