Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

We stayed in Salou,the cleanliness of the resort itself was clean,there is plenty for the kids to do,the touts in the streets are a pain drink here, eat there, yeah yeah.
Port aventura is a must for the family,a bit expensive in peak season,but look for deals in bars eg buy drinks between certain times and get vouchers or buy off the internet,dont bother taking your own food to Portaventura they will not let you in with any you will have to leave to eat and then return but the foods pretty cheap inside.
As for the beach its very clean,plenty of swings for the younger children and climbing frames,the water is clear and warm,boat trips,jetski's . we would come back to salou again probably half board or all in,fed up of giving the kids money for ice cream.

We stayed in Cambrils on the outer edges and as such there was not a lot of entertainment available at night. There was a greater selection in Salou and you could take a taxi there if you wished. However the few restaurants that were available were very good and we had no problem in finding somewhere nice to have a meal at night.
The beach was lovely, our only gripe would be the constant pestering by the beach salesmen. The walk from our hotel to the harbour at Cambrils was very nice although we had not realised that it was so far. The harbour and surrounding area was delightful and we enjoyed the time that we spent there.

Salou is very touristy with hotdog stalls and candyfloss shops sell either tacky gifts like magnets,ash trays etc or are hair braiding.
The restaurants and pubs are fantastic with great food and great entertainment especially Titanic Bar the best in salou.
It is fantastic for families and would go back again just wouldnt go shopping!!

Cap salou is a small area with a small number of of bars offering live music/karaoke/tv sport.
I found the reort to be extremely clean as was the beach.

Resort generally very clean and with a never ending promenade and beach this is no mean feat. Entertainment is a little limited in Salou but you can always seek out some good live music bars in the town. A trip to Barcelona is always an option!!
The Salou beach went on forever and with quite a depth to it could accommodate huge numbers of holiday makers all trying to get a suntan. The further you walk along the beach heading out of Salou towards Cambrils the less crowded the beach was. Life guards were in evidence although the beach seem to be relatively safe with a fairly shallow incline into the sea.

We love Salou. Each time we find new bars and restaurants. The beach is clean and everyone is friendly.

Salou is good for the young and the older people. The scenery is splendid and the beach is clean.
Plenty for kids to do. Lots of shops a must is to visit Barcelona great holiday overall

Salou is a very clean and beautiful resort. There is lots to do for all ages and has a beautiful beach. You do not have to travel far to visit lots of local attractions and it has a good, easy to use bus service. There is a wide range of pubs, restaurants and shops and the locals are very freindly. Have never visited the same resort twice but would definately return to Salou.

Absoloutely loved the resort no problems at all. Would definatley go there again.
The weather was perfect through out the whole holiday never rained once! The restraunts and bars where very nice the entertainment was good and everyone everywhere was friendly and helpful.
The beach was beautiful and was not too busy, we visited other beaches but found the beach near the hotel was the best. I feel that Septemeber was the best time of the year to visit as the weather was good and it wasn't too busy but was still lively. We got the feeling that it gets very busy in July and August.
Our party consisted of 4 adults (between 20-45years) and 2 children (9 and 10years) there was something for us all to do and was never bored.
