Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

La Pineda is a lovely resort, with many different Bars and Restaurants, and is generally a very clean resort.
The beach is sandy and very safe for children, with the usual selection of beach bars and pedaloes for hire.
It is immediately adjacent to the Aquapolis Water Park, with Port Aventura theme park, a 10 minute taxi ride.
If you do have a hire car, be careful of the parking all along the seafront and adjacent areas - it is all pay and display, with teams of very eager attendants ready to pounce..!!

well the resort was very clean. a little steep if you find it hard to get around. Lovely beaches theres a nicl little one down the road but the bigger one is great. The resort entertainment wasnt that good but realy i dont think salou was that good either. Went to a couple of clubs and there was hardly no one in there.
Overall its a lovely place and i enjoyed my holiday thoroughly. Would definatly go there again.

La Pineda is a wonderful resort. A lot quieter than Salou but enough shops and bars/restaurants to keep you going. Biggest Water Park in Dorada situated right in the middle of the resort (Tip: pay the 6 euros for a donut as soon as you go in and save a mountain of time not having to queue for them)
Beach lovely and water is very clean and goes out for a hundred yards before it gets to deep.
Will be going back to La Pineda.

the resort itself is in a nice location , close to beaches and shops, bars ect....the entertainment at the resort was really crap. i could not understand what the entertainers were saying half the time, i would say its mostly for the spanish, italian. not for the british.take my word on this , dont go there.1 good point is the the swimming pool is is great.a bit crowded though.another point is that ,the kids that live in the area come round every day and evening and use the pool and the entertainment.and they can be cheeky sods to.

Couldn't complain about too much really.Maybe not enough proper shops.Lot of tourist shops.Would have liked to do some real shopping.

Found Salou to be very busy at night times clenliness was ok no problems beach was always clean and yes we would vist salou again

We really enjoyed Salou and found there was too much to do just in one week. There are plenty of little shops for souveniers etc and some amusement arcades for the kids. The beaches are nice but can get a bit crowded. There are plenty of places to go for day trips and I thoroughly recommend going to Port Aventura the Theme park. The rides are great and the display at the end of the night was well worth watching.
There is a little road train that takes you all around Salou and is the same price no matter how many stops you go to. Some of the buses run 24 hours and they also run day trips to places like Barcelona for reasonable prices.
There are plenty of english bars and cafes if you fancied a taste from home but there are also plenty of other bars, cafe's etc.

Salou was great there weren't a lot of touts trying to get you to go in to their clubs. They seemed to take a simple no thank you not like other places I've been to.
The beach was great lots of beds there. Didn't mind having to pay at least you were guaranteed one. There were water sports to partake in or just lie and soak up the rays the water and beach was very clean I would visit Salou again.

La Pineda is lovely, its nice and quiet during the day whether you want to relax on the beach or stroll around the shops, its also lovely and clean.
At night there are a few pubs and clubs that open so theres plenty of entertainment without it being too noisy and full of drunks!!
Its also very easy to get a bus to a nearby resort or to the Theme Park, Portaventura or even to Barcelona - the buses are very regular even more so than stated on the timetables and the drivers generally understand English which is always a plus. Overall very satisfied with the resort.
