Hammamet was only a short way from the hotel. There was a typical Tunisian market which had every 'ware' that Tunisia offered.

The 'Noddy' train left Hammamet for many other towns, so there was always some where new to try.

The beach was very poor although the town itself was very clean.

There was many street entertainers which you could have your photo taken with, although they never do this for free but you think they do...Again the street traders did pester which can stop the enjoyment of your visit.

The beach was over the road down a small track.... A frightening experience as we were sharing the walk way with rats!

The place was literally Crawling.

The beach was dirty. We made a quick retreat back to the hotel.... and asked to be moved!

There’s something reassuring about being welcomed onto a beach by the local police force. The beach is very clean and well kept. Hammamett as a whole is a tidy place, both medinas are well worth a visit.

Haggling is fun, but if you get fed up with it a firm 'no' is understood well. There are also haggle free shops if you feel like non pressure buying.

The most outstanding feature of Hammamett are the people. Tunisians are a very friendly race and we will definitely visit again

The beach is just a short walk through the hotel gardens and is very clean. There are plenty of sun beds and parasols which are inclusive and pedaloes etc.
We didn't see any jelly-fish at all the whole time we were there and there were no mosquitoes. We did see 3 cockroaches but all were outside the hotel. There are security people at night to make sure only guests are allowed in the grounds and it is a very safe location.
The local men are attracted to blondes but do accept No and leave you alone!.
We didn't really leave the hotel apart from to look at local shops but resort is very nice. Weather was fantastic for the whole week and pool lovely.
Will definitley return next year, if not sooner!

The resort was ok go into Hammamet Centre if you like shopping there are lots of shops and a medina, it costs around 4 dinar ( £2.00) by taxi, also get a taxi in to nabeul an even better shopping centre there and I found the people more friendly, I found the beach clean in hammamet. Don't think I would visit this resort again as it took us about 2 1/2 hours to get there it's a long way from the Airport.

The location is poor as you have to get cabs for the nightlife. The costof drinks is very expensive in comparison to home and small measures. Many places say they are giving you the dearer alcohol but arent, they're just charging you for the dearer one! There are hardly any restaurants within easy reach. The bars that were a 5-10 min walk from the hotel were always empty. The locals advised us that there have hardly been any English customers visiting this year, and I can understand why.

Hammament MAIN TOWN is much better with more to do and better quality hotels. The part of Hammament which the hotel is located is new and not very well thought out. In time it may improve.

Hammamet beach is very nice, although there was some litter on the beach and in the sea. There are also alot of jellyfish in the water. Each hotel has it's own bit of beach with a beach bar and security to stop locals pestering you to buy things. Even so you still get pestered as their busy chatting up the females down there and we saw locals giving them a few dinars to let them come and pester you. Saying that, we only had to tell them no a couple of times and they got the hint.
Hammamet center is a taxi ride away which only costs around three dinar. It's quite busy at night and you do get pestered by children trying to get you to buy bunches of jasmine, they are very persistant!!!
The Medina where all the little shops and stalls are is quite frightening and i wouldn't recommend you go in there alone, especially if your female. Each shop sells the same things.
There isn't much to do outside the hotels even though there are a few bars and restaurants they all seem to be empty.
There is a lot of litter around the streets but then this is a poor country compaired to england and you should expect this when you book to come here.
Yes i would visit Hammamet again.

The coach journey from the airport took 2 hours which was tiring after travelling for so long, the beach is very good, just beware of sellers!!, also the jellyfish which stung several people while we were there. There are several shops within walking distance. If taking a taxi agree on a price first,or you will get ripped off , as we did!! A visit to Yasmine Hammemet medina and marina is a must!! (dont pay anymore than 10 dinar for the taxi) its wonderful you can almost forget that you are staying at a rubbish hotel

The resort was very clean, although we didn't go out of the hotel very much in the evening when we did we were impressed by the entertainment and restaurants around. The beach was very nice although a little crowded, we will certainly be visiting Hammamet again.
