Resort, beautiful, beach gorgeous, only spoilt by the abundance of fag ends every where, even when pots are provided. Sea lovely and warm.
Outside the hotel are plenty of shops and restaurants, shopkeepers are lovely and enjoy a haggle, very good with the children. Found some shopkeepers in Yasmine medina a little stroppy.
Felt totally safe here, children loved it, even the two teenage girls we had with us enjoyed it and felt safe to walk about.
Tunisia is a very beautiful country with lovely people.

Only visited the beach once and it was very dirty but there had been alot of rain the previous couple of days.
The medina in Hammamet is an experience and you do need to be firm.
They do claim that they work in your hotel and this is their family shop etc.

Generally the resort was out of the way. A dirty road down to the private beach,a small supermarket and a couple of restaurants. The hacienda was a good meal just outside the back gate on the left.
The beach was full of rubbish along the sea edge as a severe storm had recently finished and debris including trees, bottles and general rubbish had been washed up.
The problem was that no one from the hotel seemed concerened when guests complained and initially no attempts to remove it were made.
After 5 days we complained again through the rep and they started to remove this rubbish, but too late for us as we were only there a week and leaving the following day.
Because of this it was not safe for children as they would need to be carried over the barrier of rubbish. The beach facilities were pretty much none existant with only water and syrup juice available.
In Hammermet town we enjoyed the culture and people were freindly but please beware and keep hold of your kids as while my wife was waiting for me a Tunisian man of about 20yrs tried to take hold of my sons hand saying he would take him to the toilet for my wife as he had overheard him asking to go.
He was quite insistant and started to scare my son. When I came back he dissapeared. My advise would be to take a toilet roll. soap and a stash of small coins for tips with you wherever you go.
The medina and Marina in Hammermet town near by is a lovely place by day or night with cafe bars and restaurants and a bit of music or shows, again all late starting about 11pm. Only a short taxi ride away. Dont bother with the hotel train its more expensive, uncomfortable and inconvenient.
The medina has fixed priced shops if you prefer but if bartering aim at about a quater of the price and stick to it.Although you are hasseled at every shop to go in once inside they are ok if you dont buy they just want to show you what they have.
My advise is to play along a little and enjoy it as fun - they do.

The resort was non existent. It smelt of effluent. There was nothing to do. The nearest place of interest was Hammamet itself and that was a taxi ride away.
The beach was dirty though the sea was pleasant, we swam with fish. Though in hindsight knowing that it was next to a sewage treatment works I don't know if I would swim in the sea.
I would not visit this resort again.
Tunisia looks like it might be a beautiful country but I would never stay at this hotel ever again.

Lovely beach.Hammamet fairly typical of Tunisia with lots of haggling required in market.

Found Tunisia scary and intimidating. Do not like getting hassled and practically forced to buy things we would never use!!
Would never go back again!
