What a fantastic hotel, 2 weeks of heaven, clean rooms wonderful food, excellent staff and hot weather as well.

The staff were always pleasant and helpful.

The pool area was always busy but we still managed to get beds every day.

The beach was very good and not far to walk.

We had the best holiday we have ever had here and shall return hopefully next year

My partner and I have just returned from the Royal Kenz and wish that we were still there!
We had a few teething problems on arrival as our first room smelt of urine and the second room smelt of sewage. However, the third room was fantastic. If you get there and are unhappy with your room, don't be scared to ask to move, they will do everything to help.
The staff were superb, always friendly and a great laugh.
The pool was spotlessly clean and extremely peaceful.
Food was wonderful, lots of choice, always fresh and the hot food is always hot!
I really reccomend booking your complimentary meals in the French and Italian restaurants....both were a real treat.
If you are about to go to the Royal Kenz, I am very jealous!
It is hotel for all ages (except kids, another bonus), and the general clientelle seems to be couples and friends just wanting somewhere to relax but at the same time not be bored.
One last thing, you must book a massage. A full back massage for half an hour will only cost around 7 quid! Bargain!
Enjoy...we did.

We were rather apprehensive, having never been to Tunisia and heard varied reports, but the Royal Kenz was recommended, and what a recommendation.
The hotel was great, very friendly and spotlessly clean. It has recently lost its Thompson Gold status, as other operators are accepting bookings with children, but we went during term time and only noticed 2 children in the hotel.
The food was very good, and we used both the Italian and French restaurants, the Italian was good, but the French was superb - do not miss this, but make sure you make your booking on the first day you are there, as it is very popular.
The hotel has its own stretch of beach, just 5 minutes stroll away, with beach snack bar and toilet facilities, 2 sunbeds and parasol 2 dinar - a bargain.
The 2 pools and snack bars were great, these areas were quite busy but we always managed to get sunbeds, sometimes in the gardens near the pool.
The staff were great, always smiling and eager to help. The maid was very pleasant and even made fans and butterflies with our nightclothes.
The entertainment was mixed, we saw the Changing Ladies show which was very good and free, quiz nights were good fun, but the band was only average, however we spent several nights in the American Bar where Karmel kept us entertained with all the well known songs from the last 50 or so years, so overall we enjoyed it.
We had a fantastic holiday, we rated it one of the best and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, especially to couples, friends looking for a relaxing break with plenty to do nearby. We were sorry to leave and will definitely be going back. Soon - I hope.

on our arrival to the royal kenz hotel we were welcomed by the bell boy who collected our suitcases and took them to our room. the food was ok, and had a wide variety of choice.
the maids were excellent and folded your nightwear into creative shapes and also the sheets.
the location was a bit far out from everything, although taxis are not expensive but some can rip you off.
the staff are excellent and require all your needs
the entertainer mohammed was veryfriendly, although we found that it was repeated everyday and the 'band carthargo' could send you straight to sleep
i would visit this hotel again as it is of a good 4 star standard

This is the first time that i have been to tunisia and it was great! I was a bit worried as it had been an over 16s hotel until this year so i didn't think that there would be anybody by age. But i was really pleased to see a few other teenagers there that i have made realy good friends with and have spoken to since my holiday! so i just want to say hi 2 kaz, sam, caroline, bethan, linsey, steph, hana, jai, matt, ash, laura, matt, katie, baz, mark and mike!

The food was realy nice there was alot of choice at both breakfast and dinner in the buffet. Both the french and Italian restaurents were both really nice although they didn't really do french and italian food at them they were really nice and did do different food to the buffet. So do book them as you have to book them in advance, if you do have a special occasion write it in the book, as if it's your birthday you do get a cake!

The hotel was very clean and the maids were really nice. Make sure you leave your nightwear on the bed as the maids make it into the shape of a fan/buffifly! The hotel staff were so nice they would always say hello to me when i walked especially the maids they were so nice! They were all very helpfull and if u needed anything you would just ask at the recption desk and they would help you.

The entertainment that they had was really good but for people my age(15) there wasn't really that much to do at night but there was a karaoke night every week which was alot of fun!

the location was ok it took just under 10 minutes to get to the port by the noddy train which i think was quite cheap!

When me and my family first turned up to the Hotel we knew that it was going to be a nice place, the location was good we was near to a shopping centre and wasn't far from the Marina.
Well as we got there at night time we wasn't able to see the whole Hotel but the staff was very helpful with our luggage, and helping us find our rooms, which was good as it was a big Hotel. We finally found our rooms and when we got our stuff unpacked we went downstairs to the bar,we sat down and not long after that the waitors were already there taken our order which was very nice because we didnt have to wait long at all.

Well as we were getting tired we went to our rooms which was very clean and tidy. The next morning when we went for our breakfast they were very welcoming at the door and also at out table, they showed us where we were going to sit for the next two weeks which was really good. Once we were seated they asked what drinks we would like and they went off and got them for us,while we were getting our breakfast which was very nice aswell, there was alot to choose from so we didnt have to worry about not having alot to eat because there was lots there.

It was the same for our dinner food there was hot and cold meals so that you didnt have to worry about having just one meal. Everywhere you went around the Hotel you would always get staff saying good morning or good evening which was good to hear. The entertainment was excellant,we went to watch the cabarat, called Lights, camera, action. That was a good night out for everyone, it gave u a chance to let everything out and have a good time screaming and shouting for our reps who was performing, which would make you lose your voice but it was worth it.

You also had entertainment at the Hotel, where a band would come in and perform for us which was good to watch and also the karaoke which also took place, and that to was something you would have to go and watch because it was good to see what people sang.

But overal it was a brillant hotel and i would defently go back because as it was our first time in Tunisia it made our holiday memorable.

Arrived in Tunisia and it was raining but the following 2 weeks were 35 degrees of sun, apparently the week before it had rained nearly every day so we were the lucky ones. Met loads of people especially John & Irene.
We went for two weeks of two weeks of relaxation, good food and no kids. Nearly got it all except for a couple of pretty quiet kids, apparently there are 2 or 3 smaller British companies that allow kids at the Royal Kenz. Staff are first class and most speak up to 4 languages, say hello to Slah and Sahbi(always smiling) in the American bar opposite reception. The French and Italian al a carte restuarants are excellent, so make sure you book your 2 visits to each of them per week pronto. Maid cleaned the room every day and made Jeans nightdress into a fan or butterfly. The beach was also very good with a cooling sea breeze, we had a couple of policemen stop off most days for a rest so the beach vendors gave us all a wide berth. Hope to go back in the near future.

The hotel and its grounds were lovely. The hotel is far enough from the resort centre to be quiet but close enough to get there easily and cheaply by taxi. Our room was on the ground floor and we had booked very late so consequently we didn't have much of a view but we had a good sized terrace and were just steps away from the gardens and pools. There was a strange smell in the corridor when we arrived and we smelt it on several occasions during our stay, but it never entered our room so didn't cause a problem. Our room was large and clean and the maids were very efficient and friendly. I have recently had a foot operation and needed extra pillows to elevate my leg. No sooner had I asked, four extra pillows appeared. The mattress on the bed was very firm but other than that I have no complaints.

I have been to Tunisia before and this hotel had a better standard and choice of food than any other I have stayed in, particularly in the evening. I would, however, avoid the A la carte restaurant. You get one meal per week in there and they claim to have a french restaurant and an Italian one. They are the same restaurant with the same menu and the food is no better. The only difference is that you get waiter service.

Breakfasts seem to be pretty much the same wherever you go at 4 star standard. The tables seat 4 so if you are in a couple you are expected to share your table. Some people objected to this and were allowed their own table which I suppose is fair enough if you're on your honeymoon or something. We shared our table and had a great time chatting to them.

The waiters were pleasant and attentive without being over-bearing and the same goes for the rest of the hotel staff. The staff on reception were particularly good.

There were always sunbeds available when we went out to the pool area and the beach was just a stroll away.
We didn't experience the entertainment, but it seemed okay. People often complain about this but I don't really know how they could have done better to cater to all ages and nationalities (there was a band, disco, bingo, karaoke...)

One word of advice. If your flight home means you miss your evening meal on the last day, you can swap it for a lunch and they open earlier in the evening if your transfer coach leaves at about 7pm. We were not told this- we discovered it by chance.

All in all we had a lovely week and would not hesitate to book this hotel again in the future.

This was my(Sue's) fourth visit to Tunisia and Ian's first. This was our first visit to the Royal Kenz and we were both impressed by the willingness of all staff to help or just be friendly. The cleanliness and 'opulence' of the hotel was superb - having been to much worse hotels before for more money!!

The food was always hot, plentiful and full of variety, ok so we didn't want to eat the sausage and bacon because it wasn't the same as at home, but after all - at home we'd only eat toast anyway.

The hotel was in a great beachfront location (well 5 minute walk away)with pale golden sands, a gently lapping sea and a well stocked beach bar and restaurant. It was close enough to the port by Taxi - just agree a price before you get in - 3 dinar is average one way (about
