Beaches

The beach and facilities there were fantastic, and anyone interested in watersports could avail at a minimum charge. Contrary to previous reviews, sunbeds were plentiful at both the beach and pool any time of the day without reserving them.

The port at Kantaoui is lovely clean and very picturesque otherwise it is quite a dirty grubby resort.

Port El Kantaoui Marina is lovely and really busy.
It is beautful is the evenings and you can wander around the shops and then sit in a bar or cafe and enjoy the live music and watch the world go by.
There is a small waterpark, a zoo and a funfair so lots for the kids to do.
A taxi into Sousse only costs arond 5 dinar if you want something busier.

The resort of Port El Kanaoui is quaint but although it is busy at night there is no entertainment at all. Not for families with younger children. Entertainment is based around your hotel which is also poor.
The beach is nice. The sand fine & the sea clear & warm although there is a bit too much litter left around.
The restaurants are poor & the food quality pretty bad. No childrens dishes anywhere.
The hospitality in general is non-existent wherever you go. One restaurant which breaks this trend is the " Restaurant Mediterranee " at the marina. The food & hospitality are both excellent although still no choices for the kids.
Not that much hassle from merchants in this resort but is worse say in Sousse if you travel out of resort.

The resort is beautiful. The fountains dance to music and at night this is lovely to see. You do get asked to go in the shops but if you get too much hassel and are not comfortable tell them they are cheeky monkeys and just walk off. The beach is lovely and the sea is clear however do be a little wary with the small jelly fish - we did not see them in our first week but towards the end of the second week they were there. If you disturb the sand under your feet in the water you can see the fishes swimming between your legs.

This is a purpose built place and was ideal for a more laid back type of holiday.
Sousse itself was busy and built up, but here you feel you could relax. The beach seemed to be of a good standard.
The one thing for me lets Tunisia down is the fact you can not bring out your spare cash after your holiday, it has to be kept in the country which to me is a sign of pure greed. The people do expect to be tipped at all times even though its said you dont have to. But this is a poor country with very poor wages earning no more than £150 a month to live on. Some lower than that.

The resort itself is very pretty and clean.
The people are very friendly, they do like you to "have a butchers" at their shops but in know way where we hassled to buy anything.
In the marina they do try to get you to go on boat trips but a firm 'no thankyou' and they say "may be later"
The Cafes and restaurants in the port basically sell the same things burgers, pizza, chips, paninis, spicy sausages, Fish and pasta dishes.
We ate at the floating restaurant a couple of times and it was very nice, you can also get English tea with milk. It was Liptons and very nice.
This was our 2nd time in this resort in 5 years and it won't be the last.

A pretty, well maintained resort with lovely beaches.
Nightlife is limited, we found it difficult to find more than two good restaurants.

Although the beach could do with a clean now and again the place itself is rather nice. PEK is still the same but there did not seem to be the same amount of traders bothering us to buy stuff or go on trips!! The bars etc within PEK are good and there was a couple of shows on at night.
