The hotel is absolutely brilliant, it was spotlessly clean and the staff could not do enough for you, especially the cleaners.
We left some clothes soaking in the sink and he washed and hung them out for us which we did not expect.

The bar staff can be a little grumpy and so can the waiters in the restaurant but the choice of food on offer was amazing and of a good standard.

The beach area is clean and well laid out as well as being more comfortable in the hot weather as the pool areas were like being under a hot lamp.

The only grumble we had was the ammount of flies in the restaurant and the number of cats allowed to roam arround the site.

The grounds were clean and well kept with the most beautiful gardens ever experienced.
The small zoo is also very good and only around 75p for the three of us and was a good way to pass an hour or so.

The first choice rep wasn't that good but the first choice kiddies rep was brilliant and very active with the kids.

All in all a fantastic hotel close to airport but not enough noise to say any problems, just a shame theres nothing to do around the area except go into Sousse or Monastir and beyond.

For a 3 star hotel, I can't see anything to complain about, the English guests in the hotel are another thing!

After reading the mixed reviews I had a slight doubt in my mind, but we came home yesterday, and I would definitely go again. The pools and gardens were immaculate and some of the food choices were better than a 5* hotel we stayed at in Cuba! Even though the weather was quite poor for a couple of days, we found plenty to do. There are activities throughout the day & night and lots bars through out the day, so you do not feel 'penned in' even if you don't venture outside of the hotel. I was worried about going to Monastir due to the harassment, but a simple smile and 'no' and they left you alone, and we got some very good bargains!

Now, to the other guests in the hotel. I was so embarrassed!!! We saw men facing up to the waiters because they were asked, more than once, not to smoke in a no-smoking bar! - How hard is it for people to respect rules? It's not as if you couldn't smoke in any of the other bars. On our last day, a grown man on holiday with his family (inc. children) got took off in a wheel chair as he thought is was a good idea to drink till he fell over, in the middle of the day! I mean, I like a drink, but have some control! People were letting their children use the corridors as a running track - and what

The entertainment was great something for everyone the kids club was a god send for the few days that the weather was bad. The kids loved the mini disco, on the whole could not ask for more.

The staff in general were friendly our waiter could not do enough for us at meal times, but we did feel that if you didn't tip on a daily basis they were not as helpful. The bar staff were another story some of them were not at all helpfull and were actualy unfriendly.

But all that said we would go back but not in mid season it was just getting busy in May but I would not like it when the hotel was full.

Prior to going on any holiday we look up the reviews. Some of them we take with a pinch of salt, If anyone is intending to visit the Sahara Beach Hotel, then I suggest you do the same. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The hotel, staff, food and location were nothing to complain about. I would not like to be in the hotel at high season though.

Tipping is a way of life in Tunisia, it is our 3rd time in the country. Staff only earn around

We had adjoining rooms with lovely sea views. We rung up the hotel on night before to confirm adjoining rooms as we were advised to do by people on this site.

Staff very friendly, our waiter Kaleef could not do enough for us. Breakfast was a bit boring, typical continental. Other meal times brilliant.

Plenty of choice at all times, even our fussy daughters had no problems! Even though hotel near airport, could not hear any planes at all.

Only annoying things was sunbeds! Hubby having to go down at 8.30 in morning to guarantee some. Even more annoying was that some people were putting down towels early in morning and not even turning up until mid afternoon which we thought was very selfish.

We imagine in high season to be very cramped. Pools very clean, even looked as good as in brochure!

I have just come back from my holiday in Hotel Sahara Beach and I must say I enjoyed it thoroughly. Upon arrival my family and I were offered welcome drinks from the waiters who welcomed us cheerily even though it was about 5 in the morning. It was extremely clean and airy.

The rooms were very spacious and our balcony overlooked the pool area and the sea front. Every morning our room was cleaned by the maids. the maids did an excellent job we were pleased to tip them for at the end of our holiday.
The hotel reception staff were great because on a number of occasions I locked the key in our room (by accident) and they came up straight away with the master key to unlock our door. They were not angry at all!

As for the waiters, we couldn't ask more from them. Our waiter Mohamed was very friendly and spoke extremely good English. He always had a smile on his face and was always up for a chat!

There was a wide variety of food ranging from traditional African to the famous English fry up. I am a very fussy eater and thanks to the terrific food I never went hungry once. The drinks are always chilled. I especially liked the lemon juice!

The hotel is situated on the beach however my family and I did not go there very often as we were hassled by Arabs selling their goods.

The entertainment is great for kids as there is a kids disco nearly every night. On one occasion there was a man doing "fire eating" which I must say was excellent.
I would definitely visit this hotel again and I would recommend it to people with or without kids. There's something for everyone.

Brill second time here but with kids this time, respect to staff and First Choice Rosie and Issam. Don't listen to bad reports it's not true we went in easter hols and was still brill.

Good food, lovely pools, kids club was a gods send.

We had a suite with TV fridge two balcony's but don't I repeat don't pay extra for it. Very roomy but TV only could watch BBC news, fridge worked if door was wedged closed. Sleep 5/6 no probs.

Bedouin evening is good, staff are fantastic if you treat them with the respect they deserve.

Kids done the lot horse riding jet skiing para gliding camel rides go karts out side hotel, tattoos picture portraits, haggling, hate this country wanna go back now.

We stayed at the Sahara Beach hotel. As a group of four, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Weather was great and the beach was excellent! The hotel facilities were very good. The entertainment at night was good but you would have to be in the lounge area early to get a seat.

The food was really nice and there was a wide variety to choose from. The hotel staff were very friendly and always tried to help when the could.

The room was always cleaned on a daily basis with fresh towels everyday.

The only downside was the hotel location was very poor because you would have to travel far to find other things to do.

Although there was a number of different activities to do on the resort which was good.
