Sousse is nice but Port el Kantoui is better, more modern and better shops. We went on the noddy train, it was quite cold and draughty but good fun. Haggling in Sousse was an experience not to be missed, i got 2 pairs of leather sandals for 10 Dinar £5. Fantastic. Just keep repeating your price and then walk away, they soon run after you. Don't let them intimidate you with their tactics. Its a good laugh once you have done it a few times and get the hang of it.
We went quad biking as well, arranged through the hotel, it was great, an hour and a half for 28 Dinar £14. Well worth it, we went for miles.Got our photo taken on the bikes as well for 3Dinar £1.50.The public toilets are terrible, one was a hole in the floor, the best ones were up in the Medina at Sousse half a Dinar to use but they had soap and paper towels.

Beach lovely and soft sand, sea was crystal clear. The shopping is certainly an experience!! In my opinion, too intense in the Medina and tourist shops, but stick to the fixed price shops and you get the same things often at a better price and quality and you are free to browse at your leisure, without someone right up your back. I would suggest for a few dinar either in a taxi (haggle the price before you get in!) or about £1.75 each return, you can go on the road train to Port El Kantoui, which is by far superior!! Also if you are up for a bit of a walk, take the road train to Port El Kantoui and when it stops at the marina, stay on and ask the driver to drop you off at the roundabout where he turns around (at the golf club!) and carry on walking along the road for about 5 - 10 mins and you will come across the Hawaii shopping centre on your left. This is about three shops, 4-5 storeys high and they have all the products that are available anywhere else and are a lot cheaper. We found this after we had done all of our shopping and every single item that we had bought, was cheaper here. Everything is very cheap anyway and the "Genuine??" designer gear is a lot better quality here than in any of the other shops. I bought a Guess handbag and purse for less than £15!!! "Designer!" T-shirts for about a fiver!! Have fun and shop til you drop. Also you cant go without having a burger in "The Saloon!" it is truly the biggest one I have ever seen in my life, very reasonable prices and a lovely Western Cowboy style set!! Worth a visit just to look at the way it is set up, you cant miss it, on the main road into Sousse and clearly signposted!!

The c leanliness of the resort was second to none,we never seen rubbish or litter anywhere. There was always trips on offer if you wanted to nook them ranging from half day trips to 2 night trips,we went on the pirate boat trip which my boys loved and didnt want it to end.The beaches are purest white and really calming.we as a family would love to re visit Tunisia again in the future.

Sousse is a good location, clean beaches, lots of bars, restaurants and shopping. Handy for travelling into Port El Kantoui - just pick you hotel carefully.

Sousse is building work in progress as usual!!!
Didnt venture into town much in the evenings.
The usual array of hawkers and children offering you a half dead flower for a dinar.
Beach in main resort seemed very quiet, but clean and tidy.
Still plenty of Noddy Road Trains, not sticking to their timetsables as usual, the Tuk Tuks are still plying their trade however nearly all the one's we saw had the seat belts missing/broken.The teenagers visited the clubs and gave Bora Bora and Living the thumbs up, but be careful how much you pay to get in, and once in, the drinks are expensive. All the clubs seemed to close for Ramadan.
