Beaches

The grounds are well kept within the resort and so are the surrounding resorts. Again the entertainment was great fun, needs improvement but they try hard. The beach is beautiful and very close to the hotel. My only complaint would be the amount of people trying to sell you stuff, however it doesn't really matter where you go there's always someone selling something. We are definitely coming back here.

Not much outside of the hotel, some restuarants and a busy road. Some parts of Sousse are run down, but the medina is good fun if you like to haggle and is only a short taxi ride from the hotel. Port el Kantoui is nice and clean and can be reached on the noddy train

The resort was fine, the beach was very busy and the sand hot. I did notice the absence of all the cats around the hotel which we presume had been removed because of the tourist's complaints.

I go out to Sousse twice a year and this time noted a distinct lessening of the hassle in the Medina. I wondered if this might just be my experience as I'm an 'old hand' now and even have a little of the language but others said they felt the same. If so it is all to the good.

I would suggest that you go on your "welcome meeting" - you will learn things you need to know - like the fact that you will get guys coming up to you saying that they work in your hotel " remember me - Im a waiter in your hotel, I saw you yesterday" or what ever - yes some people are out to con you, but the majority of them are really nice guys.
If you have the option to go on a Medina ramble, do it.
It gives you the confidence to go about on your own, 5 dinar well spent.
Just have your wits about you- chat with the guys, dont follow anyone when they say they will take you somewhere for free, dont take the flowers off the children - they will want a dinar off you.
Relax and enjoy a fantastic holiday - I know I did.
( But then I did get engaged when I was there so I was on to a winner what ever)

It isnt really a resort....theres nothing outside the hotel except a safari bar and supermarket..but is very cheap either on bus or taxi to nearby sousse, monastir or kantoui, sousse for shopping and nightlife..kantoui for relaxation...monastir for both !!

Sousse is very cosmopolitan.Locals are charming so join in the fun and barter for everything. Lots of great things to buy.
