Largest Rooms are in the newly refurbished rooms around the low 2000's. If you have mobility problems let reception know they will try to get you a room close to the bars/reception and no stairs to climb.

Having visited Sousse many times I found the shop-keepers everywhere somewhat less persistent this time. I thought at first it might just be me, because I'm fairly well known there, but it seemed from watching that there was definitely less hassle - perhaps they have learnt their lesson.

Unfortunately in some ways the Tunisians still haven't got their act together. I went to visit the Medinat Alzhara Sound and Light Show just outside Sousse, which is advertised throughout the area and on the side of the Noddy Trains as a show for Tourists and Tunisians. The reps will organise a coach but I went independently with friends who live in Sousse. The first three taxi drivers hadn't a clue but the fourth one took us part way and we then transferred into a very small louage which took us the rest of the way. The driver then gave us his phone number and we rang him later to come and pick us up. He took me right back to my hotel before taking the others to their apartment in Hammam Sousse. The show was absolutely fantastic. We had a 4 course dinner first, sitting at long tables while they put on a fakir show at each end of the room. Luckilly we were sitting right by one of the stages so had a good view, but people who sat nearer the middle said they couldn't actually see the stage at either end. We then went outside to watch the Sound & Light show. On our night it was done in English, French and Italian, whilst other nights it is in other languages.

The resort had the seweage drains uncovered which let out a revolting smell, the only entertainment was a pub and a club but we did not go there. The beach was full of nails, wood, seeweed, bottles and very unsafe.

I would not visit this resort again.

Very mixed resort nice Steak house slow service though.Bowling alley, crazy golf and loads of water sports. Quad biking worth a go great fun, camel trek and pirate ship good day out. Very bad for hassling you in shops just tell them you have been before and have everything dont take anything they hand you as free gift it isnt. Noddy train takes you from Port el kantaoui to Sousse but very cheap for taxis ask before you get in. Beaches are beautiful spotlessly clean the usual paragliding, banana boats, jet skis etc very cheap. Water is suitable for children very shallow and sandy also water is warm.

Because I had an injured foot (prior to travelling), we did not do as much sightseeing as we normally would, but from what we saw, both Sousse and Port el Kantoui were attractive places. The brochures do advise that entertainment is mainly hotel based so there did not appear to be many bars and restaurants as you would normally see in other countries such as Spain, Portugal, greece etc. The old Medina in Sousse(part of it built in 8th century)definitely worth a visit, I managed to climb the rabat (tower) in spite of injured foot (suffered for it later!) lovely views over the city and sea. It is right beside the Soula Centre where you can shop at fixed prices if you don't want to haggle in the outside shops. Warning -you will get seriously pestered to come into the shops and buy!

The Hotel is right near the beach, where there are sunbeds and umbrellas free. Lovely Beach.
The resort has very little entertainment, but Tunisia is like this but Skanes seems to be just Hotels.

We would not visit this resort again but would return to Tunisia.

The weather was beautiful, approx 35C still very hot at night and in the day, a few cloudy mornings but Sunny afternoons. Overall September a lovely time of year to visit.

I had a lovely time I really enjoyed it. I went with my mum, dad step dad, 2 brothers and little sister. We all had an amazing time there we spent 2 weeks out there I wished we had longer I loved it so much.

All of the animation team is lovely they all made me and my family laugh they were so friendly I going to miss them.

The food is nice we had breakfast and dinner there and lunch we bought are self’s some of the food I didn’t like but most of it was alright they have ice cream which my little sister was eating everyday after her meal she loved it.

I spent most of the time at the pool I some times went down the beach but I not a big fan of beaches. You can go out on trips when you are out there I went camel riding and my family went on a board that takes you out in the sea and you can jump in to the sea fun for children.

I really enjoyed and if you are thinking of going away I would say go to Tunisia it is really nice.

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. There is one bar to go to down the road. We went out one day but we got hassled that much we came back.

Tunisia is boring and a dirty country I would never go there again.

Keep an eye on your daughters because the men want them in exchange for camels.
